Re: Orlando VS Washington Game Thread
New starting lineup and rotation (based on nothing other than WTF):
Boykins/Miller (if he's back)
Butler/Young
McGuire/Jamison
Blatche/McGee
Haywood (if he's playing)/Oberto
Better defense on 1st unit, decent height, scoring, passing on 2nd unit.
Wizards for the win, 99-98 on an improbable McGuire 3P buzzer beater. Players on both teams draw fingers. League wide suspensions follow. Players and owners agree to end NBA for good of public. Lebron cries, "I coulda been..."

I would die laughing if players drew fingers on each other while lined up for some foul shots.

That brings up a good point. How should other teams now respond to players drawing fingers. I think a memo from Stern is in order.
I've too lazy to have an avatar and I wouldn't want to infringe on Nate33, but Cartman doing Fingerbang is looking pretty appealing right now.

Just our luck. Magic on a 3-game bender, needing a win and due for it.
On the plus side, press reports say Jamison's sick of gun talk. Maybe that will translate to him not being so quick to shoot from 25 feet with 20 seconds on the shot clock.

What are your hopes for the rest of the season Mont? This team is done, this season is done and trades are coming.

No illusions here, but I always hope for a win, and like to see one now and then.

Re: Orlando VS Washington Game Thread
Honestly, Id rather see Mike James in the rotation over Boykins.
As for the lineup, I think it was so clear last year that Caron couldnt play the 2 in EJ's system. He never did it until we fired EJ, Tap took over, and started Dom. I said all last year that if you want to start Dom then fine but let Dom play the 2 on Offense and let Caron play the 3. Basically the whole time until the very end, they had Caron playing the 2 and he sucked.
Before this season I said that with Flip, Im sure that Caron could play the 2 in his system in a Rip type role. So far this year Caron has been at the SF spot 90% of the time and he has looked so average. He looks slightly better than a role player. I think he clearly looks better as a 2 in Flip's system. Therfore we should either go big or you can still start NY or Miller but let those guys play the 3 on Offense and let Caron play the 2. It stinks because NY looks like a good 2 in this system but Caron is more important.
The only other way Caron may can play the 3 is with Miller because Miller is so unselfish and such a good all around player that having him at the 2 may can get Caron going at the 3 but Im not even sure that will work. In any other case though Caron needs to play the 2. Remember, this is only about Offense. You can still let him guard the 3 on D if you want. BTW, I still think we can win some of these games if Flip finds a way to figure out what the right mix of players is

I'm pretty sure you guys don't need a win as much as we do.

Dom shouldn't be starting. Period. And I do prefer Mike James over Boykins, but he's hurt. Him being hurt is the reason we have Boykins in the first place. They are pretty much the same player, both like to shoot the ball, and both are players I don't want seeing at the point for the team.
I do agree that Miller or Young should be the 2 guard. Miller is a smart player who is willing to pass the ball (something no one else is willing to do), and Young is probably the best on the team at getting free for his own shots. His fadeaway jumper is nasty, he just needs to bulk up a little more so he can finish around the basket better.
