He deserved it, early in the year you could have made a case for Brees and Favre but they both had drop offs in the second half. Manning didn't have a drop off until he started sitting half the game.

Plus the Vikings made the playoffs without Favre last year, without Manning the Colts are really bad and I don't even know who the backup is in NO but they would be bad without Brees too. So in terms of who is most valuable to their team it is by far Manning.

When are DPOY and Exec of the Year announced? Those are the two we have a chance at winning.

Don't they stretch out the awards like baseball does and announce a new one every day? Gotta keep your league in the media and getting attention :P

The guy is a machine. I know I've never seen a better QB.

I'm curious to know when DPOY and the Exec award get announced too. You'd think the last award they announced would be MVP.

DPOY will be announced on Tuesday.

Found this to verify:

Found this for the whole schedule:

Looks like MVP was announced a day earlier than that schedule and the DPOY is set to be announced on Tuesday per USAtoday but that post says Wednesday so maybe they are off by a day on everything?

So if the DMVP is announced Tuesday, when is it actually voted on? Will the games this weekend be considered?

Voting is done before the playoffs begin.
I'm against picketing but I don't know how to show it.

I won't argue with Manning winning it, because he clearly deserves it. He also meets every requirement that MVP voting is based on as it is usually the best player on the best team.

I honestly believe that this year the most valuable player to their team was Chris Johnson though.

I think if you replace Manning with an average QB (like a Joe Flacco type), the Colts can still make the playoffs. If you replaced Chris Johnson with an average RB (like Ryan Grant), I think the Titans only win a game or two.

Manning clearly deserved it, and I'm convinced the man is a robot with how precise he is. The Colts were expected to take a step back this year (not to being bad, but a step back from where they had been in recent years) but Manning didn't let that happen, even with some very young WR's getting a ton of playing time.

I would have voted:

1. Manning
2. Brees
3. Favre

Fixed. Oh wait, he would be below average. :D

Ha! #4 for Manning.
Favre, how do you like it??????????? Coming back for another TWO years, just so you can top him????

Manning will have Favre's consecutive games streak record, also.
