Hilton Armstrong added...

Nice move to pick up a young defensive center on the cheap. Only costs a future second round pick.

For some reason, I knew you were going to comment Ballings. I remember you were praising Armstrong a while ago. Image Hopefully, he gets his career back in track with us.

Ending contract as well so he has some incentive to play well. We needed a defensive bigman so he fills a need. Hopefully, we still add Sean Williams as well as I always thought he was a nice player, headcase, but could pan out on the cheap.

Great job by Petrie to add a 25 year old big man to add to this group. This Kings team will be so big in the future at every position. Yes Brockman counts because he grabs as many rebounds per minute slightly below DHoward.

1 Evans/Beno
2 Martin/Garcia
3 Casspi/Donte
4 JT/Brockman
5 Hawes/Armstrong

In future years teams will not be able the ball in the paint at all against this team. JT/Brockman/Casspi/Donte/Armstrong can all knock heads. Hawes will start to come around also. This team will be a beast for years to come.

I got mixed emotions on this. Yeah he's a big body and that's great. He couldn't flourish playing with one of the best point guards in the NBA in Chris Paul and that really bothers me! I really wish we would have taken a flier on Sean Williams.

Ehh, not exactly who I was hoping for, as I think Armstrong is more or less just not very good, but for the price (nothing), I can't complain.

hmmm, dunno. I guess I haven't seen him play much, so it's hard to say.
Sometimes you just have to look yourself in the mirror and say....Tyreke Evans.
That just happened.

We'll see, but in all honesty I don't see this working long term.

He's not even as good as trash, you Kings fans will see. And hey, thanks for getting us that much closer to being under the luxury tax and taking one of the worst basketball players that can't play basketball to ever come into the league. LOL.

Armstrong 25 6-11 235lbs 3 years in the NBA
3.6/2.7/0.5 blocks in 13mins a game on 2.6 touches

Sean Williams 23 6-10 235lbs 3 years in the NBA
4.3/3.6/1block in 15mins a game 3.4 touches

I would say Armstrong has to work harder for his stats on a team with in their prime David West/Okafor/Chandler ahead of him. Williams played with Brook Lopez but nobody else.

Williams is probably a better shot blocker but Armstrong is more mentally stable. The same reason the Nets kept Josh Boone (the same size, age and production as Armstrong) instead of Williams.

Armstrong is healthier than May for us and cheaper than Shelden Williams or Diogu would have been.

Good pickup for Petrie.

Hopefully he develops for you. If you have someone internally that can light a fire under his butt, maybe he will. He is lazy and you will see he is an immature child. He plays around like a 3 year old at the end of the bench when he is not active (as we actually have been using Songalia as the backup 5). You may get something out of him at the 4, but he is far from a defensive big. He will not get in the weight room and is rail thin. He gets pushed around and is always out of position as a result. I had high hopes for him, but he was a major disappointment. Low risk for you guys though as you can let him walk after the season if he shows no hope.

All for a 2016 second round draft pick and some cash for an expiring big man. Yeah, the Kings sure got screwed here.

The cash is coming our way. This deal literally cost us nothing. It kind of makes his attempt at trolling that much more hilarious.

I know the cash is going your way BUT by absorbing his contract, it puts the Hornets just over 500,000 over the lux tax, rather than 3.3 mil. Thanks Petrie!
