Caron Butlers horrible season continues

Even without Arenas, this guy is playing like ****.

I get the feeling he hates playing for Saunders, and that a change of scenery will bring him back to life.

For someone who plays such big minutes, his stats are mediocre at best.

Change of scenery won't change the fact that the weight loss didn't help him with speed and quickness. Now he doesn't have the strength and power he used to have and he gained nothing in advantage. He looks like a slow terribly awkward player.

I dont think its neither of those things. I think that in the Princeton he was a perfect fit at the 3 and could dominate but when you saw the idiot Tapscott moved him to the SG spot he sucked. He looked so average and was horrible most of the time. Now in this system its the exact opposite. I dont think Caron has changed that much or regressed. I think the system just doesnt fit him, atleast not at the 3. I think he's a much better fit at the 2 in Flip's system so we should go big.

or like I said last year, just switch the spots. I didnt mind Tap starting Dom last year but I said the whole time that Dom should play the 2 on Offense and Caron should play the 3. All year he did it the other way around until the end and then Caron starting to beast again late. I say the exact same thing now. You can still start NY or Miller but let them play the 3 and let Caron play the 2. He can still guard the 3 on D if you want but he has to play the 2 in this system or you might as well get him out of here because he is nothing. I think he might does hate Flip right now but its not because of Flip personaly. He just doesnt like the system and feels that he is always either getting phased out or getting the ball in spots that arent his spots.

I actually feel that Gil is not too different. Gil is just great so he will be good no matter what but I seriously dont know if Gil will ever look as good as he could look in the Princeton. The system I think will hold Gil back some and make Caron look average. AJ will look like a GOD though because its perfect for him. The bottom line is that we arent going to win unless Caron is Caron so you have to make changes for him. Move him to the 2 or run alot more Princeton plays specifically for him. We still have Unseld Jr. who knows the sytem

this. when u loose weight, you dont loose muscle. dieting doesn't cause muscle atrophy. flip has singled caron out as one of the few guys who is dedicated to winning. i dont think caron has a problem with flip. i think his golden years were just a product of the princeton.

Butler has become my least favorite player on the team, outside maybe Stevenson. The guy is top ten in minutes per game, yet he can only give us 16/6? We could give those minute to McGuire, and I'd be shocked if he didn't crush him in every column except points. Jamison may be the guy who it makes the most sense to trade, but Butler's the one I'd most like to see in another uniform. Most of the rumors are saying that the offers we're getting on him are too lowball for us to pull the trigger, but honestly, with the way he's played, I wonder if we're just overestimating his value. We're talking about a guy with a long history of injury who is about to turn 30, playing the worst ball of his career after clearly peaking two years ago. I mean really, how much would you want to give up for him?
