Message to all 'other' fans coming here about Griffin...

Post#1 » by PerkinsFor3 » Wed Jan 13, 2010 11:47 pm

If you're planning to use the word "cursed" or anything like it, read this first:

Curse word.
And, no, I'm not using the word "curse" as in "the Clippers are cursed."
Why? Because I'm not 12.

Do you people still have Ouija boards?

and then just leave.

I knew someone would bring up that Simmons article. I hate it when he's right.

I read Bill Simmons article again. I don't believe in curse, its even funny that we are actually discussing this.
as laduane1 said bad drafts and bad, no terrible management.

The kid is gonna be a stud.
I watched him both years in school.
He's a tough cookie.
It's unfortunate but I really see him returning to full strength next year and you guys will have a better ballclub for it.

You guys are stupid being haters. Any other team who got the #1 pick would have gotten griffin over anyone. He was the clear #1 pick. Dont start talking **** and say "oh if my team had the #1 pick we would have Taken Jennings or Evans" No they wouldnt. Griffin was the obvious choice for any team.
If the Clippers win the championship next year I'm getting banned from RealGM

I think Phil Jackson may have hit the nail on the head.

http://basketball.realgm.com/src_wireta ... not_curse/

Lakers coach Phil Jackson doesn't believe there is such thing as a "Clippers Curse," but he does have an opinion about the team's struggles.

"I come from a generation that believed in karma," Jackson said before Friday's Lakers-Clippers game at Staples Center. "I do think there is karma in effect ultimately."

Jackson was firing at Clippers owner Donald Sterling, who agreed in November to pay $2.73 million to settle allegations that he refused to rent apartments to minorities.

"I can't claim anybody else's karma," Jackson said. "That's their own making, whatever it is.

"If you do a good mitzvah [a Jewish term for an act of kindness], maybe you can eliminate some of those things," Jackson continued. "You don't think Sterling's done enough mitzvahs to eliminate some of those?"

If you're a Clipps fan, you should follow Bill Simmons on twitter. Even if you don't tweet (like me), it's worth it to follow him because every once in a while he chimes in on the clipps (since he's a pseudo-clipps fan). Today he had about 2 or 3 tweets calling out the Clipps for lying about Blake to sell season tickets.
