GT: Spurs (23-13) at Thunder (21-16)

Post#1 » by Nolan » Thu Jan 14, 2010 1:48 am

When: 8:00 PM ET, January 13, 2010
Where: Ford Center Oklahoma City, OK

Better late than never.

Blair's been dominating the paint so far and Parker has been outstanding. We're up by 13 in the second quarter. Oh and it looks like no Tim Duncan tonight either.

Go Spurs!

haha. Barely pulled this one out without TD. Didnt get to watch the game but looks like RJ had the winning shot. OK always gives us problems.

They are the western conference version of the Bucks except they are going to be scary good in the future.

Blair gets 28 pts and 21 reb...10 offensive rebounds. I didn't get to watch the game but Blair gives us a solid option. I still believe we need size for LA but having a mixture of work horses is always key come playoff time...as its all about match ups. Unbelievable this guy fell to us in the 2nd round.

Blair was a ****ing monster tonight, he really stepped up with Duncan out of the lineup.

Holy **** at Blair's game - he's undersized, but he's still quite valuable and effective

Nice win!

Late post

That game should not have gone to OT...We were up a decent margin with less than 3 minutes to go and played way too conservative..Instead of going for the kill we let them back in it and eventually almost blew the game had it not been for a ridiculous Ginobili save..Always nice to get the win though because in the end that's all that really matters..Blair was huge and absolutely dominated the Thunder front court although Nenad Krstic isn't exactly the toughest of defenders..Great to see Pop give him time to help raise his confidence level..What Blair needs to work on is to show this kind of energy and effort every night on the offensive glass because that is where I see we can use the most out of him..Blair will likely never be a good defender but at least he has the potential to be a useful offensive rebounder..

It was interesting to see Pop go the opposite and rest Duncan not Parker..I couldn't even tell Parker had pf..He went bonkers in the first quarter and was able to get in the paint anytime he wanted..He might be a little bit slower but that is it..His shot looks good and he was even able to knock down the 3 ball which is always a good sign..
