Don't know. Celtics wouldn't trade Daniels and Danny Ainge has been a big Tony Allen supporter. So I doubt it.

I doubt Danials goes anywhere. I disagree about Danny being a big Tony Allen supporter.

Even though Tony has looked really good, I'd have to do the deal because our backup point guard spot is really weak right now.

sigh... come on, if a guy can go off for 40 coming off the bench, you have to wonder why the guy was being benched for weeks. Don't want that tude on the team.

A deal for Nate Robinson is almost impossible for the Celtics because of his BYC contract status. He would count as $4.0 mill for the Celtics and the Knicks can only get back $2.0 mill for him. It would have to be part of a bigger deal.

Knicks could probably swing a deal involving Darko and Nate for a package. Their talking about buying Darko out anyways.

Problem with Nate on the Knicks is the following: We have NO frontcourt defense-I mean no shotblocking or interior intimidation(that means we need top notch defense at the perimeter). We also have Harrington and Lee as 20 PPG scorer and would like to steadily increase the offensive role of Chandler and Gallinari as we believe they are our "future". We also have Harrington coming off the bench taking a big amount of shots so I think someone like Tony Allen who is a good athlet, decent defender and good at slashing to the basket could be a good fit. It'd also allow Douglas to get some minutes which would improve our perimeter defense a lot.

But the main point is that with how things went this season it is obvious that we are going to lose Nate anyways so we might as well pick up another young player and see if he fits better or not.

Celtics obviously could use a scoring punch off the bench and given your strong defense it wouldn't hurt too much to have Nate out there.

I deal that looked something like this could be interesting:

Boston trades: Scalabrine, House, Giddens, T. Allen and Glen Davis

New York trades: N. Robinson and Al Harrington.

That would be something definitely to at least look at but the problem is New York doesn't want to take on any more salary for next year and Davis is on the books for $3.0 mill in 2010-2011.

If the deal focused around shipping Eddie, then maybe. One inefficient chucker who plays weak D for another. Otherwise, we like TA's defense too and would rather hold onto that.

Every game that Eddie shoots like he did last night and Daniels doesn't play at all makes a deal more and more likely. The key to it is making it part of three team deal Jammer has put together a few that make some sense. If Bill Walker can play at all I would say ship out Eddie and Daniels and go with Nate and Tony. But again this is based on TA healthy and playing well Eddie shooting like crap and Daniels not playing at all with a surgically repaired wrist. Tell me those 3 things are going to change I might change my mind.
