^ at that point, i really didn't care who won or lost, i was just proud of the guys for not giving up and playing hard. even if they lost i knew i could still watch espn and not get upset over the lost. i especially was proud when i saw the guys respond when they made mistakes. it wasn't a good play. i thought that Joe should have set a screen for Jamal and see if the suns made a mistake on rotation. but it was great the shot went in, icing on the cake.

I had no idea that Jamal or any other Hawk would make the shot, I was just happy that we got into a position to tie or win (which seemed like a long shot down by 4 with 6 seconds left). Before the final play I did sort of wish that we had be the ones to sign Sundiata Gaines to a 10 day contract, but Jamal made that unnecessary.

It was a big shoot. Jamal is the difference between last years team and this years team. Hand down.

One thing bothers me though. The way we play at the start of the 4th quarters. This game we were 0-9 to start the last quarter.

Great win for the home team. I was happy to see them keep things close when so many of the guys had a rough game. Maybe this win will be a boost to their psyche and help them down the stretch in similar games. Go Hawks!!

Horford goes 5 for 5 on long jumpers and thats somehow supposed to mean that he has a great post game? Thats a shot I think the defense wants Horford taking. Good for him for nailing them but I really don't want the hawks offense revolving around Horford shooting 20 foot jumpers.

^Horfords been nailing that 15-18 ft jumper most of the season. I to dont want the offense revolving around that but its a good asset to have when your big man can bail you out with a nice jumper.
Is it to much to ask for a team that plays hard and cares? Seems so.

1. The coach should've call the timeout when the Suns rallied back and tied the game at 82 a piece (iirc) and the Hawks got posession and then can't score but got the offensive rebound back. It was a stretch the Hawks couldn't score anything. I think it was the key possesion that win it for the Suns had the unimaginable not happened.

2. But wow, I didn't expect Crawford to have a big impact this season, but he has been very good.
3. That being said, I don't think a lineup of Bibby, Crawford and JJ is going to work in the fourth quarter against team who can rebound. I feel like if they don't score ...the other team is going to.

Horford is shooting 45% on jumpers this season.

I would much rather see him shoot a jumper than play with his back to the basket. If he never played with his back to the basket and just played a face up game, shooting the J and driving when the defender comes out, he would be a much more effective scorer.

He will obviously get some easy baskets on fast breaks, putbacks and set ups from other players. But being able to hit that midrange shot opens the door to averaging 15+. It just irritates me to see him play with his back to the basket because that takes away his big speed advantage. He also needs to learn how to throw up a fake once in awhile. He hardly ever does it.
