I don't think Ainge is giving up hope on Durant. The ball's in Durant's corner now. If Oklahoma City makes the playoffs, that will go a long way in convincing him to remain. If not, there's Boston and New York in 2011.

I'm still confused as to how it is so obvious they tanked for Duncan. I understand Carr admitted it, but their best players did play a lot that season. There may have been some tanking but not to the degree that happened in 2007.

This is what really caught my attention at that time, well that and the fact that Ainge was busted sitting next to Durants mom during the Big 12 tournament. His intentions was very obvious. Also starters not starting. Pierce was injured most of the season. There was a lot of reason one would think the Cs tanked that season.

They lost 16 or 18 straight games after Pierce got injured. I'm sure they were trying to embarass themselves on purpose. They won 5 straight shortly after Pierce returned(including a victory in San Antonio). I'm sure they were tanking there too. They obviously tanked maybe 5-7 games towards the end of the season but there's no evidence at other times of the season that they tanked. A Laker fan comes in here and changes the subject to make the Celtics look bad. Typical.

Everybody and their mother knows that the Spurs tanked that entire season to obtain Duncan and it worked out like a charm for them. Thats why Pop cant talk ish on any team since he himself/his franchise were both involved in tanking and as well as when he complained about Paus trade when the Spurs got R.J for chump change and thats where this post comes in .

Im sorry for derailing this thread which wasnt my intention, but a Cs poster posted this and all I did was ask him if he was going to man up himself and be proud of it, thats all. I wasnt trying to make anyone look bad, if anything, if my team did the samething I would be proud of it since it did help my team with a title. Okay so we tanked, why argue the truth.
