Kimbo fighting at UFC 113 (Montreal)

Post#1 » by CapeCrusader » Sun Jan 17, 2010 8:40 pm

http://mmajunkie.com/news/17585/kevin-k ... ntreal.mma

So far rumoured for the card:

Lyoto Machida vs. Mauricio "Shogun" Rua (for light heavyweight title)
Rashad Evans vs. Quinton "Rampage" Jackson
Paul Daley vs. Josh Koscheck
Marcus Davis vs. Jonathan Goulet
Kimbo Slice vs. Matt Mitrione
Alan Belcher vs. Patrick Cote
Jeremy Stephens vs. Sam Stout
T.J. Grant vs. Johny Hendricks

I'm going to try hard to get tickets to this, then figure out what to do with it after.

111-113 cards on paper are the best since 100. Does Kimbo automatically make it to the main card?

If no 1st round KO's I forsee this happening again-

Looks amazing!! Kimbo is not the story, though.

Stephens is such a tough MFer. Vs Stout, after Sam's last? Sheeeeeeeeet. Cote vs Belcher, of Hell's yeah. Not to mention the 4 best LHWs all on the same card.
Hi love, bye love, I will miss my love.

If Rampage and Evans does indeed end up on that card it's the best card since 100. Lot of good fights too with Stout/Stevens and Belcher/Cote.

Hopefully Kimbo is working on his conditioning, but either way I just don't see Meat head taking out Kimbo.

That looks badass, but I kind of doubt Rampage/Rashad ends up as a co-main event on this show.

UFC 114 in Vegas later on that month is in need of a main event, and I can't really think of anything that would sell half as well as Rashad/Rampage.

meat head has a good jab though. I think kimbo will try swinging for the fences and eat jabs

but then meathead will start hearing voices and kimbo will catch him while he's talking to his imaginary wife

Perhaps, but Floyd Mayweather vs Shane Mosley is scheduled for the same night as 113. Maybe the UFC does try to stack that card and live with a lesser 114, idk. A fight I would like to see happen would be Tyson Griffin vs Gray Maynard, winner faces BJ.

I honestly think he got lucky against Marcus, could of went either way but Marcus doesn't have the stand up Kimbo has. Plus Kimbo can take punches and dish them out even better right.

I think Mitrione could very well end up winning by KO, why not?

Yeah, I'm surprised by the people saying Kimbo has this in the bag. I haven't been too impressed with Mitrione, but I'd put my money on him over Kimbo.

But who cares about that fight with those others? Of course the way things are going with injuries Kimbo-Mitrione will probably be the co-main event by fight night.

Koscheck vs Daley will be a good fight. As a Koscheck fan, I hope he doesn't try to stay in the standing game too long. I feel he we need to use his wrestling wisely and often to beat Paul.

He will take Daley down early and that will be the end. Daley has no ground game.

I know that, but with Koscheck's striking improving the past few yrs I hope he doesn't try to stand with Daley too long.
