Ot- Cavs trying to get David West

Post#1 » by cfan79 » Sun Jan 17, 2010 2:58 pm

They are offering Ilgauskas big expiring contract to get a deal done. Hopefully it doesn't happen because West is a solid shooting power forward. A very good compliment to Shaq's inside game.

Maybe we can offer up a better package with Baby and expirings. Afterall West could be KG's eventual replacement.

Eh, the Celtics need to focus on improving their backups at the 1-3 positions, add more depth up front. If the Cavs land West, which seems unlikely at best, that definitely makes them a considerably better team.

LOL, if they let West go for that garbage, seriously, they shouldnt be allowed to have a team anymore.

Actually, it's Jamison who I think the Cavs really want... Better rebounder and will pull other team's bigs further away from the basket..

He and West are about the same defensively however which is yuck.. Can't be any worse than JJ Hickson though...

Couldn't see them getting West unless they could take back Peja's contract as well. Jamison's probably the more realistic option for them.

Yup. Jamison replacing Hickson would be scary.

I would be psyched if the Cavs got Jamison. He is atrocious.

That would be a good move. They would win the championship if that deal goes down.

Yeah... Corey Maggette and Shareef-Abdur Rahim are also guys who have/had great stats.

But how come they never seem to win?

Because they are all busters, that's why.

I would loooooooove to see Jam trying to hang with KG, Sheed or Baby... hell, even Shelden.

Captain_Caveman, put the drink down. Just like any other player in this league, you don't win unless you play with other talent (the Wizards have talent, but they are all screwed up in the head..or Arenas is). Jamison is an allstar talent. Maggette and Shareef would have won more games in their careers had they been on more talented teams also.

Jamison would make Glen Davis cry all day, all night, and all week after Jamison is done owning him.

Look at Zach Randolph for proof of everything I just said.
