Maybe this would work...

Successful Trade Scenario
Congratulations on a successful trade.

Due to Utah and New Jersey being over the cap, the 25% trade rule is invoked. Utah and New Jersey had to be no more than 125% plus $100,000 of the salary given out for the trade to be accepted, which did happen here. This trade satisfies the provisions of the Collective Bargaining Agreement.

New Jersey Trade Breakdown

Incoming Players
Carlos Boozer
6-8 PF from Duke
19.0 ppg, 10.6 rpg, 3.5 apg in 35.1 minutes
Wesley Matthews

18.8 ppg, 9.5 rpg, 2.2 apg in 36.4 minutes

Depth Chart:
PG: Deron Williams, Ronnie Price, Sundiata Gaines
SG: Ronnie Brewer, Kyle Korver
SF: Andrei Kirilenko, C.J. Miles, Bobby Simmons
PF: Paul Millsap, Mehmet Okur, Kosta Koufos
C: Brook Lopez, Kyrylo Fesenko, Kosta Koufos

We might have to include the NY first-round pick to do it. I'm sure that would get New Jersey bitting. We would also get salary cap relief in Bobby Simmons, who has an 11 million dollar plus contract that comes off the books after this season. Anyway you slice it, we need desperate help at the center position defensively. We cannot stop any team that attacks the basket.

Please explain why New Jersey would trade Brook Lopez for half a season of Carlos Boozer.

They wouldn't. Wishful thinking from a wishful fan.

This might work...

Jazz send AK and Wesley Matthews (Though I hate to see the young guy go)

Jazz get LeBron James and JJ Hickson

then...

Jazz send Boozer, Okur and Ronnie Prince

Jazz get Kobe Bryant

then...

Jazz send Paul Millsap, Kyle Korver, Kosta Koufos and 5 million dollar Trade exception (Matt Harpring Deal)

Jazz recieve Dwight Howard

So essentially this is what the Jazz line up would look like.

Deron/Gaines/D-Leager
Kobe/Brewer/D-Leaguer
LeBron/CJ/D-Leaguer
JJ Hickson/D-Leaguer
Dwight/Fesenko

My only worry is that we get awful young and inexperienced with the D-Leaguers, which makes me hesitant to do the deal.

I pray you aren't serious. I like the trades value wise for every team but why in the world would the Jazz want Lebron AND Kobe on the same team? That's worse than the A.I./Melo experiment. Now sub Kobe for Peyton Manning and I would consider it.

I'm adding to my trade list.

I just got Kevin Durant for CJ and Fesenko.

So now we look like this.

Deron/Gaines/D-Leaguer
Kobe/Brewer/D-Leaguer
Durant/D-Leaguer
LeBron/Hickson/D-Leaguer
Dwight/D-Leaguer

Fixed it again!

Brewer for Lopez straight up!

Deron/Gaines/D-Leaguer
Kobe/D-Leaguer/D-Leaguer
Durant/D-Leaguer
LeBron/Hickson/D-Leaguer
Dwight/Lopez/D-Leaguer

I'm really starting to like this rotation guys, I could see myself pulling the trigger on a lot of these deals.

While I'm sure Orlando would do this -- they could really use Korver's 3pt shooting -- I don't think you can combine a TPE with other players. I'm sure there's a way to adjust things. When you get it all straightened out, you should send it to KOC!

I think i've got it:

Trade 1:
http://games.espn.go.com/nba/tradeMachi ... Id=yllt5cl

Memo, CJ to Orlando for Dwight Howard
AK to Cleveland for LeBron James
Brewer to OKC for Kevin Durant

Trade 2:
http://games.espn.go.com/nba/tradeMachi ... Id=ylejekl

Koufos, Boozer, Korver to LA for Kobe Bryant
Ronnie Price, Fesenko to New Jersey for Brook Lopez

The nice thing about these trades is that you don't have to trade Wesley Matthews or give up the NY 1st round pick.

Depth chart:

C: Howard/Lopez
PF: Lopez/Millsap
SF: James/Durant
SG: Bryant/Durant/Matthews
PG: DWill/Gaines

I just wish we had a front office that was bold enough to make these moves. They just don't like to take risks.

i think these would all work numberwise, but if i'm KOC i'm definitely looking to get just a little bit more depth. in alot of these deals it seems were giving up a bit much

That's why he's the GM, I suppose. He could probably talk Cleveland out of JJ Hickson in addition to LeBron.

And don't forget the traded player exceptions, I'm sure we could grab a valuable bench player or two with those.

You may notice the statistics for Boozer and Lopez are very similar. You may also notice that Lopez is younger and on a rookie contract.

Seriously, if I was GM of this team, I would have done these trades a long time ago and picked up Arenas and Randolph along the way as backups. KOC sucks...

How cool would that be to have Durant coming off the bench for us! No way Jazz mgmt does this though. We have great draft picks that just need experience and development.......

What a great thread! The ideas here are amazing! Guarantee this gets done on 2K10.
