MLK "I Have a Dream" Speech
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-up2xyRvN2U

Dr. King represents a significient part in the Civil Rights Era. His doctrine on unity and equality from segregation and discrimination and leading peaceful movements using non-violence methods lead him to receive the Nobel Peace Prize. His greatest speech " I Have a Dream" still echoes throughout history today. Kings mentions in his speech about "All men are created equal." We as a people should be living this statement. We shouldn't judge one another by the skin that covers our bodies. We should judge each other by what's inside of us. The characterictics that makes us who we are. We as a human race should stand up for equality and sense of peace. The same peace that can give us hope to inspire a sense of unity to get along with one another. Stop the hate. Increase the respect.

Clippers Manifesto

1. Get aggressive on the boards.
2. Slash to the post at will. Draw fouls and make FTs'.
3. Defend like they have a purpose.
4. The Nets have yet won a game in 2010 and are 0-15 against the Western Conference. Don't become the victim to these guys. Break the losing skid and get back to the winning ways.

I've noticed that the Nets let two teams get 70 points by half time. With that said if we keep playing better, which we have done of late, we should be able to win this game. If we happen to lose the I don't know what I'll do.

Everyone take time to remember what MLK did for this country, the fight for equality and human rights.
I've been an LA Clipper fan since 1998 and that will never change. I hate our new logo and jerseys!

Ahh, the Nets, just what we need right now. That said--if we lose--I give up, I just give up.

You can't give up, JJ --- you are part of the vital female branch of this board that consists of Ms. Clipper and Granny Clipper.
And you won't have to give up because this is such a low point in Nets history (sad for them but hopeful for us) that it is highly, highly, highly unlikely for the Clippers to let this game slip away, especially if Kaman is back.

SD, I love your piece on MLK. Great job on the thread. :D

Glad to have Kaman back and see that Rhino is able to go. The Clippers can't afford to take these guys lightly. Even if we didn't lose 4 in a row.

Lost my cable feed there for minute thanks to the rain. Clippers lead 39-24 at the end of 1. I normally don't like having big early leads, but I'm glad to see one today.

Clippers are shooting 66.7% from the field. We have 13 assists to 0 turnovers.

It was a really nice play in the midst of a patch of sloppiness.

What's up with Eric Gordon's ft% this year? 72%?

61-49 Clippers at the half. Great 1st quarter, outscored by 3 in the 2nd quarter. Balanced scoring attack for the Clips so far. 18 assists on 22 baskets. 6 players with 7 or more points. We only have 5 turnovers, but it was a little disappointing to see us pick up that many after being flawless in the 1st quarter. It was mostly due to lazy passes or snoozing players not looking for the pass. I'd rather not see Kris Humphries playing so well against us (12 and 5), but he has put up decent numbers since being traded to the Nets.

About EJ, it isn't unprecedented. Early in Baron's career he was a 60 per cent free thrown shooter, and now he must be 80 per cent. Some guys just go through rough patches with this area of their game. I'm sure he'll be fine in time.
Glad to have a decent lead at the half. They are really going to have to totally fall apart if they plan to let this Nets team come roaring back and beat them. I really hope that doesn't happen, and I don;t think it will.
I feel sorry for guys like Harris on that team --- he deserves better.
Anyway, our guys have had uneven play here and are still up by 12. That's gotta be a good sign.

I wonder the same thing. Initially it seemed that it was all in his head, but he's been like that all season long. I would have never expected Baron to put up better numbers than EJ at the line.

Some poor team is likely to end up paying good money for Humphries based on the numbers he can put up with the Nets, and end up being very sorry.

I could do without all these turnovers.
The stream is more uneven than the play, for sure. Cutting in and out so often It's like a slide show.
But at least we're up by 14. Good stuff.
