1/20 - Wiz/ Dal GT

Post#1 » by bulletproof_32 » Tue Jan 19, 2010 9:04 pm

Wednesday, January 20 @ 7PM at Verizon.

Wiz haven't won 3 (or more) in a row since April 2008. Are we due or doomed?

Discuss.

Loss, they owe us for embarassing them at their opener.

Could be a game where Blatche is crucial; he had 20 in the first game and his length might justify starting against Nowitzki (Haywood, Blatche, Jamison, Butler, Foye).

Matchup of the game: Barea vs. Boykins

We have the roster to beat-them, but if Flip continues with his semi love of small-ball, we're doomed.

Maybe they should just replay the opener. It'll be years before we all feel that good again.

Not only did we take them in the opener but they can be had again.

Dirk is on a tear but they are 5-5 over the last 10 games and only beat OK at home by 1 and DET at home by 5.

Third game of a east coast swing where they are 1-1 beating Boston with no KG and losing to TOR 88-110. A whooping.

Injury report. TT did not travel with the team, Najera - back problems and J Howard .330 and 11 pts for January.

We played them last year only losing down the stretch in the 4th last year with no Haywood and Mike James as our starting PG.

The year before which is probably a better comparison we took that in Dallas
http://sports.espn.go.com/nba/recap?gameId=271126006

And we crushed them at home -
"Wizards hand Mavericks worst loss of season"
http://sports.espn.go.com/nba/recap?gameId=280121027
DAMN. DS LITE THEM UP.

WE CAN TAKE EM.

Not against this group. If we lose, it will be a close lose but I'm pulling for my team to get it's first 3 game winning streak and then get ready to go for 4.

I go for that too.

If Blatche starts instead of Stevenson, 99-90 Wizards, if not, 98-97 Wizards. Wizards will be the talk of the town again for a millisecond.

First game I've cared about in a while. Should be a win. I actually expect a win.

However, Gooden inside and Humphries could wreck a small lineup, and that's what Flip seems to prefer.

I don't necessarily expect a win, not after what we've seen so far
this year.

But they are actually playing half decently and DAL might
just relax after beating BOS on the road Mon night. That
said, I'm sure they want payback but sometimes that
can backfire too. On paper, they win huge. Dirk goes
for 35. AJ goes for 28 and it's not enough. Marion
induces CB to an off shooting night and our bench
gives us nada, slip-slant-doodily-squat.

Or in a dream world, FO makes Dirk a volume
scorer and AJ/CB/Wood/RF/MM/7DD/N1 put
enough together for a W.

Miller's just got to be kicking himself seeing how well Dirk's haircut worked out.

Man, Butler is so much sure of what he's doing at this point. I can't help but think it has a lot to do with not playing alongside Gil. Those dudes just don't jibe n' juice is getting really assertive.

Not that we should get too invested at this point, of course.
