Can Evans be an All Star Reserve?

Post#1 » by KF10 » Wed Jan 20, 2010 11:10 pm

Tyreke Evans is having a historic rookie campaign. Averaging 21/5/5 for the year. No one would argue the fact that Evans is the best thing that happened in Sacramento since the glory days with Webber and co. Without question, Evans is the face of the franchise now.

The coaches' reserve choices will be announced Jan. 28. While looking at SI, Evans did garner a vote for being a reserve in the All star game.

Do you guys think he should make it as a reserve?

He should definitely be considered to say the least. Kobe and nash should be the starters. But with mcgrady possibly starting it makes it that much tougher for evans to get in. You cant leave nash off so thats one gaurd then you got chris paul, brandon roy, billups, d-will, and parker all with better records. So I dont think he will get in but what he has done this season definitely reserves him a spot in the snub conversation.

Evans will have his time in the future. Right now, any extra spot for a guard on that roster belongs to Deron Williams.

Not this season. I feel like he is right there with those guys, but I think there are too many good guards in the west for him to make it this year simply based off of seniority.

Evans is down to 4.9rpg after last night's game; so technically the answer is only 1 player: Lebron.
