Star of the Game 1/20 VS Bulls

Post#1 » by mkwest » Thu Jan 21, 2010 6:16 am

We match last year's win total, but we played like crap and lost 2 of our guards in the process. I'm glad it's over, because it was nerve-racking to watch.

I remember the other times that Camby put up 20+ rebounds, but we ended up losing. He actually had his career high of 27 against the Bulls last year, but we lost. Tonight he pulls down 25 and was largely responsible for the victory. I had to go with Baron though. He was having a ho hum game, but when the game was close and on the line, he put us over the top and gave us some breathing room. He hit big shots while other guys were committing turnovers and missing free-throws. For that reason, I have to give him the nod. Had we soundly won this game, I likely would have went with Camby.

For me, it was no contest. It was great to see Thornton get back into the swing of things, and to see Camby have a monster night on the boards, but the bottom line---- if Baron doesn't step up in crunch time, this game is just another huge disappointment. So the Star of the Game, no question, Baron Davis.

I'm split between Camby and Baron on this one. Can I have 1/2 a vote go to each? Anyways I might sleep on this one and vote tomorrow.
I've been an LA Clipper fan since 1998 and that will never change. I hate our new logo and jerseys!

Great team effort but Baron sealed it at the end when it was looking bad for the Clips.
