Monta Ellis is as dumb as they come. Also, watching Maggette jump out of his way to get fouls and actually getting them is pretty embarrassing for the league. A ton of guys flop, but you have to do it halfway intelligently, in the context of the shot attempt. He doesn't even try.

What a pathetic game thus far. They better find a way to pull this out.

Ellis was dumb enough to go from a Mississippi HS kid to makin' $11 mill a year at 23. He was dumb enough to score 39 with 10 assts in a game where Melo was a no show, the refs did suck but the most absurd call was Lawson getting 3 FT for being in the act of shooting...when the ball wasn't even near him. That was the oddest call I saw this month. Lawson did play well. You got a bargain.

If Ellis wasn't such an idiot, they wouldn't have called the foul in the first place. What is he thinking trying to slap at the ball when a guy is shooting a halfcourt buzzer beating shot....one that has little effect on the outcome of the game no less(if you want to give him the benefit of the doubt for that dumbass foul on JR in the last game)?

You got me. A guy who swipes at Lawson's arm on a halfcourt shot is damn near a Rhodes Scholar. Whether the call against Ellis on JR in the last game was legitimate or not, you'd think he'd make sure to not put himself in that situation again.

ellis clearly got all of lawson's arm after lawson had gathered and was throwing the ball towards the rim....not to mention this was after running into him with an obvious blocking foul a second beforehand.

I'd like to add a note about Warriors fans. It's pretty damn impressive how passionate they are about the Warriors, who have been terrible forever (other than one season). It almost makes you wish they had an organization worth a crap. That being said, if the Warriors got to be even mediocre, I imagine their fan base would quickly jump to the top of the most annoying fan bases list. Just based on their massive overrating of guys like Morrow, or Randolph based on freaking summer league play (Skita, anyone?), I can't imagine how they'd be if their team was good. Obviously I'm generalizing, but my point remains.
