Would you trade your pick for... ?

In case Pacers won't move up in the lottery and your pick lands somewhere 5 to 7, Would you trade it for Jonny Flynn ans some sweetener like Jazz pick or rights to euro center Nikola Pekovic? Looks like PG position is an area of need for you and other then Wall there's no good pgs in this draft worth a top 10 pick.

Personally I wouldn't. The top 10 talent in this upcoming draft isn't to be overlooked. I might be swayed into a D.Harris deal for the pick if some salary can be sent out, but I's prefer to have a shot at a Favors or Turner. Even Henry, Davis and Johnson look to be great talents.

Jonny Flynn? Yeah I could do that. But there are other guys in the draft that would help us as well. Henry for example. But I like that w/ Flynn he's established and you don't have to question if he'd be able to play or not. I would take that deal. But why would MINN trade Flynn to get a pick? That doesn't make sense, he seems to be one of the building blocks for their future.

I'd have a decent chuckle to myself if Minnesota wins the lottery. Not that it's a bad problem for them to have but Flynn, Sessions, Rubio AND Wall? Might be only the second time in history that the #1 pick gets traded.

Except it would be Rubio (or Flynn - unlikely) that would be traded, not Wall.
Wall by all accounts is thought to be a better prospect then D.Rose, & I have heard several say that he would be in a small group w/ L.James & maybe another as top players drafted in the last decade. Not sure if I go hat far, but I have not watched him much, but basketball people LOVE this kid!

Oh two of them would probably be traded of course. You'd suspect Rubio and one other to be moved and Wall to be kept, but who ever knows right?

Let's not talk Wall. How do you like Flynn/pick swap?

I haven't followed Pekovic over in Europe, but as a #31 pick I'd assume he would have a decent amount of upside. He's ranked 3rd overall in the draftexpress.com NBA right held section, behind only Josh Childress and Tiago Splitter.

He could be a viable option, but as we have seen, buyouts and contract negotiation could be a tough spot.

Flynn AND the Jazz pick? That's a pretty decent package and would be hard to turn down, but I'm not sure if we could get that for a 5-7 pick, and if it's 4 or above I'd probably keep the pick as I mentioned above.

Pekovic doesn't need a buyout, his deal expires this summer, and everything points to him joining NBA. Kahn goes to Europe next month to see Rubio and Pekovic. If he sees that Rubio wants to join wolves in 2011, then I hope he sees Flynn as a trade chip that next wolves a good young wing or defensive center.

I'd do it. Flynn is a special player in his own right and would be a perfect fit for our PG spot.

Is this in the rumor mill at all? I think Bird does this.
