Magicfan1, can you argue that one?

it all depends with me really. yeah he took a few tough shots but most were shots he can normally make. now i would like to see him cut down on his shots with the bad finger i will admit that, and if the team was playing good i am pretty sure he would have.

we also got swept by the Celtics in 2008 and lost the final that year. Just came back home and checked out the replays (God knows why). Truly nice effort by Gasol. Why, he doesnt look like a guy who has only played a little over half of the games this year at all!

No doubt we can, think about it did we really run anything at Shaq ? Don't you think Phil and his staff knows exactly what to run to give Shaq problems ? And since when did teams get a chance to prepare for a team in the regular season ? All you do is watch video and read scouting reports.....how is that preparation for an opponent ? A 7 game series is like being trapped in a box with no escape.

Simply put which coach do you want for a Finals Phil or Mike Brown ?

Bottom line is we didn't expose ANYTHING to the Cavs in our two games with them, last year we killed the Magic with a steady dose of high pick and roll from the high post option of the Triangle. The Magic could never adjust, it'll be the same for the Cavs. You think Shaq and Z is willing to cover on the P-n-R ?

I feel like were getting to the point of the season where Phil will start to piss of some fans. He just isn't playing Bynum enough in my eyes. Its only screwing up Drew and with a young player he should be getting more time to help his development.

Bang on.

Tonight, he was in foul trouble, so there was a reason.. but other games where plays anything under 26 minutes in a game is a crime.

lamar came to play tonite. he was ready and thats all i need to see, a readiness, rather than sittin around waitin for somethin to happen. PAU however, was totally off. he was missin layups. not taking wide open shots. hesitant. missing freethrows. just overall crap.

with that said, i think its good. i think this may be the wakeup call for them to turn this road trip around and go 7-1

GenevieveJames.........that's exactly snaq's point. Winning a regular season game doesn't win you a title in January. Experience teams don't expose all their arsenal in the regular season. Kobe even said himself this game wouldn't make or break their season. We'll win overall HCA........book it.

Boy I hope you're right. I certainly do understand the logic in not showing our hand just yet.

I think chemistry is the bigger issue though. Understandably, we haven't had our starting unit in tact for long enough to really show how dominating we can be, so hopefully we'll be fortunate and avoid further injuries from here on out.

Kobe should sit out the All-Star game and just rest the entire week. Dude needs some time off.

Notice how the regular season games had Nelson (at All-Star level) at point, the Finals games had Alston at point. Notice how the regular season had Radmanovich at small forward, the Finals had Ariza at small forward. Honestly, things had shifted in the time frame between the regular season and the Finals.

No that team as in your current team hasn't been to a Finals. The only advantages are some of the players on that team has Finals experience, but your current hasn't been through the playoff battles together yet. Bottom line though is that Shaq is the only one who's won in the Finals nobody else on the Cavs have done it yet.

Don't forget the whole nation saw how most of those guys shrunk up like a snail last playoffs. LeBron was the only consistent one. Especially by the time the ECF's rolled around. Let me see these guys win a tough series first before you make the assumption that the Cavs got this on lock.

I think we need more length on this team. Shaq simply abused Andrew Bynum like a little kid and broke Gasol like a match stick. MBenga will only offer his face to be dunked on.

We have no answer for Shaq.

Thanks... I wasn't really suggesting we trade Pau... Just that such a trade doesn't sound as crazy now, as it would have in the off-season...

I still can't get over how soft Gasol played last night. He settled for 10'ers most of the night and let Shaq have his way with him.

And this was one of many games we needed Odom to step up and play some D but he was all-over the place... Odom is decent Offensively but he is just consistantly out of position, slow to react, and slow to rotate on D. He wasn't very aggressive on Offense last night either... Good job cleaning the glass though...

I don't want to put this out there, but to me it just seems like Shaq and Clev's bigs scare Odom and Gasol... Bynum isn't skeert and neither is Mbenga... In fact I think Shaq is a little respectful of Mbenga and Bynum... But he just knows he owns Gasol...

yeah our bigs were soft last night. i kind of want to give pau a pass because he did play this summer. i really wish kobe and pau would take the all star weekend off. funny thing is most of us are complaining and we still have the best ecord in the league. also there is no doubt in my mind that we can beat this team in a seven game series. i was a little afraid of this game anyway when i heard mo was out. sometimes a wounded animal is the worse animal.
