One team I think that has not been mentioned but may be a possible landing spot for Gil would be the Lakers. Gil is from California and there is no way Kobe would let him be a disruption to the team.

I think he would be a major upgrade over Farmar, Brown or Fisher. I think if we sent them Gil and Blatche we could probably land Bynum and maybe Brown or Morrison. I was having trouble completing a trade for Bynum because of his BYC status, but I was able to complete the trade with Gasol. From the Wiz standpoint I would love to get Bynum though.

I dont think a trade to LA would be any less far fetched than a trade to NY. Kobe and Gil together that would be something. I think the LA fans would really embrace their native son.

Have I got a deal before the thread gets locked at 100 pages:

Gil and Caron to Miami for Jermaine O'Neal

Just do it and start all over.

Why on Earth does Miami do that? Gil and Wade can't possibly co-exist and this leaves the Heat with zero chance at getting a star big man over the summer. Pretty horrible for Miami IMO because it takes them in the opposite direction from where they've been trying to go for the last few years.

Now, if they lose Wade over the summer, maybe they consider trading for Gil just so they can stay afloat as a team. But I can't imagine them doing that at the trade deadline.
