Minnesota - Sacramento

Post#1 » by Devilzsidewalk » Fri Jan 22, 2010 5:46 pm

Kevin Martin, Nocioni

for

Sessions, Mark Bliggidy, D Wilkens, Utah 1st

Sac gets money relief, and some backcourt guys and Utah 1st

MN get Kevin Martin without having to touch Jefferson/Love/Rubio/Flynn, MN/Char 1st. But they take future use of their cap room out of the rebuild equation.

I think that's a reasonable offer.

Personally I'd say no, just because of the contracts/injury history, but this deal is more realistic than 98% of the ones I see.

I would do it. I don't think Nocioni's contract is that bad. It's descending and has a team option at then end.

Maybe get them to add Sergio to the deal

Flynn/Sergio (Rubio)
Martin/Brewer/Ellington
Turner or Johnson or Aminu (Wolves #1)/Nocioni
Love/Gomes/Cousins or Sanders or Alabi (Bobs #1)
Jefferson/Pekovic

Ellington - Gomes - Pekovic would all be movable assets to acquire a third big man if we couldn't get one through the draft.

I think this sets us up too nicely to say no.

I'm not a Martin fan but the value seems okay. Maybe a deal to do this offseason if Martin can show he can play the rest of this season at least, and we know we aren't getting a good free agent wing.

I would like to see what we can get in the draft, possibly trade for Iggy, and/or sign Gay.

Pass on this deal.

Yeah i remember that. I don't remember the poster though. I think it was more the latter. Wow! How stupid is this guy!?

You got me chuckling now. I would love to find that some how, but that could be in any thread.

I'd rather keep our chances of drafting Turner. Of course it won't matter as we will fall to 5th in the draft anyway.

Too much to Sac IMO. Martin + Noc are overpaid as a duo, and you want to give a good contract, cap relief, AND a first round pick for that? I'd wager you could trade Utah's 1st round pick, Sessions, and cap space for Martin by himself and they'd say hell yes.

I don't see the Kings saying yes to this, but I wish they would because it's a good trade.

Sacramento will tear the you apart over this one.

But in reality, I'd turn this down as a wolves fan... I don't want noc at that much and I'm not a fan of Martin, Martin needs to play more D for me to consider it. I'd rather use our 1st on Turner/Johnons/Henry then get Martin.

I'd rather have Martin and still use our first on Turner/Johnson/Aminu.

Sorry to hear about your revoked medical license.

Kings can do better for Martin, some desperate team like dallas or toronto will give up some actual talent/picks.

Kings fan here. Knowing the GM of our team's draft/trade history this trade won't happen. We're deep at the pg/wing position negating a need for Sessions/Wilkens. Beno Udrih has played pretty well this season and looks to be the 6th man going forward for the Kings. The Kings need a big man in the worst way.

Kevin Martin's value is greater to a contending team then a rebuilding team in my opinion. IF he's traded I think that's where he will go (to a contender).
