Spurs waive Haislip

Post#1 » by Three34 » Fri Jan 22, 2010 7:29 pm

Marcus Haislip - the jumpy one that doesn't play - has been talking to Greek powerhouse Panathinaikos for at least a week, and has finally agreed to terms. So the Spurs have waived him/bought him out so that he can join them. In doing so, the Spurs save money, gain a roster spot, and lose only a player who couldn't have been much less inconsequential to their current fortunes if he were dead.

So, what was your favourite Marcus Haislip moment?

Well considering he rarely ever played its pretty hard for me to have a favorite Haislip moment, but I do remember him hitting a three in garbage time once.

Well it was pretty clear things weren't working and he was getting zero minutes so I guess its for the best.

Happy Trails Marcus we hardly knew ye.

Our secret off season signing is now gone. I never got to see what the guy could do. I still cant pick him out of a line up. Good move I guess. One less roster spot and we save a little bit of cash. I am still amazed that we didn't cut Hairston before his contract became guaranteed.

I like Hairston, he's brings a lot of energy and he's got a decent outside shot.
