I don't see why anyone would be excited over this. Harris's contract doesn't end until 2013, and he is a terrible outside shooter for his entire career. His defense is nice, but is it a smart financial decision to pay someone 27 mil for the next 3 years only for defensive purposes at the 1 spot?

Who could that be?

Harris would be a great fit here. He is a good defender, quick and big, has a decent jumper stretching to the threes and he is a hell of a good individual play maker. If we can get him, we would be almost perfect. Outside of him actually defending the quick guards in the West well, he can also attack them relentlessly and make the Parkers, Pauls and Brooks spend a lot of energy on defense. Either way, I doubt we'd really get him though. We already have an incredibly high salary bill for next year and we are good enough as it is to win a title. I would love it if we do get him, but i'm not holding my breath over it.

Thats no reason to back away from a great trade or Gasol like STEAL!

i doubt the nets eject harris but he would be a major upgrade

nets wont be taking brown or sasha since all they really want is 2010 capspace

i have no doubt other teams will be offering more

I would do a combo of Morrison and Sasha or Farmer. They can pick 2 of those. Hell no I trade any future #1 picks. We are already out this years and we sold last years and the year before also went in the Gasol trade. So that is 3 years without a #1 pick. Yes they are going to be low. But they are your future.

Fisher might not be here next season. Hope he is, but Harris has 3 more years and that would solve a lot of off season questions. Do it mitch... Might be as another wrote. Gasol 2.0.

:D :)

You might want to check how well Harris shoots in http://www.nba.com/hotspots. Last year was his only allstar like season and he was still mediocre on most sections of the court. This year has been nothing but ugly for him.

You guys need to chill with acquiring big names. It's fair to say that Harris is probably not a star player, and god knows if he can still play defense like he used to.

that would be sick. NJ is just dumb enough to do something like that too with the fire sale about to happen.

Just did the trade in Trade Checker.........( Trade ID #5398498) all it would take is Ammo and Jordan to get it done.

Clues to look for on this trip, one being weather Ammo suits up or not. Tonight he didn't . Secondly watch the minutes of Jordan they'll either be an up tic or decrease.

If I'm correct when we traded for Pau we cut Kwmae's minutes and deactivated J.Critt. And when we made the move it was on a long road trip. Same as it was when we got Ammo and ShanBO.

Oh yeah Harris and Shannon would be an explosive and athletic back court, no team in the league could match that speed from both guys or size.

Harris for 2 players that are not difference makers. Seems like a good trade for me. Morris and Farmer. I bet it is like most. here today and gone tommorrow.

NJ will trade Harris if they are 100% CERTAIN they get the top pick in the draft and WALL declares which appears to be a foregone conclusion... He will have three years left around $9 million per year... I don't think we have the pieces but he is a SOLID upgrade as we are paying D Fish $5 million and Farmar $2 million... If we land him we would be SOLID at our weakest position... I love the deal but don't think it will materialize...

I currently live in Kentucky and it looks like everyone in the state is expecting Wall to declare right after a tourney exit. NCAA Chip or not he will make that move. So! wouldn't it be better for the Nets to hold on to Harris get their lottery and try to trade for another top pick just to make sure they can pick up Wall???

this would put us over the top. put fish on the bench like in 00'...we would have three great defenders on the floor at once in kobe, harris, and artest.
Only on realgm is 27,000 points, 5 rings, 1 rs mvp and 2 finals mvp considered overrated!

Would love the trade but cant see NJ trading him unless they want dump salary for 2010. This would defintely do it but cant see it happening
