Starting Iverson in the All Star game is just unconscionable. Seriously, the league has to step in somehow. Iverson needs to get "injured" or something. Put in Joe Johnson, or Rondo, or Derrick Rose, or freakin Ben Gordon or Luke Ridnoir for God's sake.

Then maybe you shouldn't bother posting in a thread your not interested in and have nothing to contribute

As for the ASG. Yeah, I agree. AI needs to come up injured. I now they say this is a game for the fans but it would be a better game for the fans and mean more to the players if it was the best players. I think they need to take if our of the fans hands and come up with a better way of picking these players. Though I have no idea what that would be.

Then at least the awards would really mean something.

I think next year is the year something is done about "fan voting". Iverson getting yet another undeserved All-Star nod, let alone a start, is causing some waves among the media talking heads and most are in agreement that action needs to be taken.

My idea is to have the fans vote in 1 starter for each conference. It would take away people voting Iverson, McGrady and the like in. The highest of the highest vote-getters are usually the best players (thus worthy of being a starter).

Actually, I think I may have over reacted because I saw AI starter. Once you get past that, they are pretty equally matched.

Wade is the bomb.
Hate him or not, LeBron is a hand full
Who doesn't like KG. he and Duncan are both older
And Howard is Superman

Stick a better PG in there like Rondo and there you have it.

Wow, just noticed. The East doesn't have many good PGs.

But I think AI will try to facilitate as a PG with that group. It should be fun to watch.

How about the coaches pick the teams, then the fans have a month to vote on the starters? They could make it a surprise to kick off the game even. It's not like there's some advantage to hearing the starting lineup announced a month before the game anyways.

It's a meaningless game. Why shouldn't the fans choose who plays in it? The game is a joke and the weekend itself gets worse every year. If GM's are truly basing player values off All Star Votes from the fans (which I wouldn't put past some like EG), they are not doing their job in the first place.

It's a game for fans to see their favorites all on 1 court, and A.I. is still undoubtedly a fan favorite.

Ok. Now if I had made thread about "All Star Game Announced" everybody would be calling for the IBTL (Please Use More Appropriate Word) thing....

This board has way to much bias, and favoritism........... :noway:

I guess this is the place to be if I want to get alienated....

It wouldn't have been locked. This is a fresh topic in which there is no pre-existing thread. That's basically the criteria to a thread on this forum.

Again though, if you don't like it here, don't post here. I'm not trying to be a douche. You just seem to not like it.

EDIT: And hands11 has had his fair share of threads locked in the past but learned the way things are done on this board and changed the way he posted new threads, which occurs rarely now. (Correct me if I'm wrong, hands11)

If somebody made a topic about brendan's socks blah blah blah...we would have 5000000000 hits...and no lock... so basically are you basing your locks on the number of post? Im I too much of a "noob"?? whatever kids say today to look or sound cool... I dont know.......I mean C;mon man........

Considering I just commented about how when hands11 originally joined this board, his situation was sort of similar to yours and that now, he has learned how the board works...I find it weird you completely ignored that.

Secondly, you're absolutely paranoid and not taking any responsibility for, lets face it, horrible and repetitive threads. It's not just me. It's everyone on this forum who thinks and verbalizes it in the threads you unnecessarily create before they are correctly locked.

Post count has nothing to do with it. Understanding the rules does.

Why didn't I lock this thread when there's a similar one ON ANOTHER BOARD? Really with this statement? Honestly?

This is the last time I'll talk about this to you because it's completely derailing a legitimate thread with nonsense. If you have a complaint, take it to the feedback/suggestions board and I'll happily continue the conversation there.
