Have any of you ever met/got an autograph from Kobe at a gm?

I just got back from the Lakers/Knicks game and went to it the last 2 years(this and last year) and it seems almost impossible to me to ever even get an autograph for Kobe and I didn't really try as hard this year, I think he left in an SUV, everyone else went by bus, Jordan Farmar just walked on the street to somewhere, didn't follow him because he's not a star and I'm not a stalker. I would only ask Fish/Artest/Kobe/LO/Pau/Bynum and maybe Shannon Brown/def Phil for an autograph or pic with me if one of them somehow walked out of MSG and went somewhere on the street. He was walking with like 1 other person, it was crazy, I couldn't believe it at first.

So yea they only let you in an hour before the game so you can't really see the players before shootaround which they start half an hour before the game and the ushers won't let you get anywhere near courtside and I haven't seen even like 1 person get an autograph from a Lakers player during shootarounds the last 2 years.

Does it work different for you guys in LA and in Staples since the Lakers are your home team? They're my favorite team fa sho. Any of you ever met Kobe or got something autographed by him or got a pic with him? Might hafta take a vacation to LA for a lil soon when I'm off from school and go to a buncha games in Staples.

i saw him in southern cali very very randomly on a stop light....he was driving an outdated white escalade, windows down, loud music....i said whatsup, he responded with a peace sign and took off...all i remember was he had a shoulder injury during that time so he wasnt playing

I was in school and in my gym, the ARK at UCI. And in come this tall black guy in full white. Boy did i stalk him for an hour or two. ; ) <3 KOBE

I saw him at the movie theater down at the Block ( this mall in just outside of L.A.). I was with my mom at the time and she goes "isn't that Kobe and his wife?" They were walking casually in front of us. I was slow to agree. I started to ask for a picture cos I had my cell-cam with me but before I could - I saw a swarm of mall security guards come running up. They wanted Kobe and Vanessa to exit another way out of the theater. It seemed we weren't the only ones who noticed Kobe and Vanessa hanging at the movies. Outside of the theater was mass of kids pressing against the doors of the place trying to get in. It was like what you see in the movies. Like the Beatles! It was crazy! My mom and I were trapped for a good 15 minutes with the Bryants! There were others with us all movie goers with their dates and family or whatever no one was upset. We were all star struck. It was the coolest situation I have ever been in. Finally they let us out a back way and escorted us, the rest of the exiting movie goers and the Bryants pass the crowd. Everyone in the group that was "escaping" with Kobe and Vanessa were all laughing and the Bryants were doing their best to speed walk away. They were riding in a current year S class Silver Mercedes. My mom yelled goobye Kobe and he rolled down the window and waived at all of us as were still walking a cross the parking lot. Freaking coolest Kobe moment ever and one of the best Cali Celeb stories I have too.

Well, I'm from LA (went to UCLA from 2000-2004) so I was there for the entire 3peat run... Had season tix to the Lakers and all that jazz...

I've met Kobe a few times actually and I have a ton of photos and a basketball signed by him...

He was real cool when I met him... In fact, when Kobe had his "issues" in 04 and 05, I saw him in Cleveland because my friend worked at the Ritz Carlton when the Lakers stayed there-- he walked out and signed for everybody...

His autograph was KOBE 8

But he doesn't sign squat for anybody now... My buddy tried to get him the other night and there was only two people there and he told them he doesn't sign autographs anymore...lol.. I'm sure for something special he does, but not randomly anymore..

I never understood the "I don't sign autographs" stance from celebs and sport figures. I don't get it whats it cost you. Its just a damn scribble on a sheet of paper. I am glad I have obscure taste in talent cos when I lived in L.A. most autographs I sought from peeps were met with a "Oh my gawd this kid knows who I am." look on their face.

I have a good friend who walked up to Odom after a post game interview and asked for his shoes. He not only gave the shoes to him, he signed them both! Yaaay LAMAR!

^How did he get anywhere near Odom tho? Or like anywhere near the press conference or that room or even on the court? And how do you get like those backstage/VIP passes for when the game ends? My little brother sneaked into that thing once at a Knicks/Mavs game he went to here in NY and he met a TON of Mavs players and got all their autographs and pics with them, he said the coolest was Jason Terry and him and his friend hung out a bit with Terry and then saw him leave and take out his sidekick. They got his autograph and all that and said he was pretty cool. They've seen a ton of Knicks players walk into MSG before too through the players entrance in the parking lot and they've gotten pics/autographs from a ton of them, my little brother has pics with Walt Clyde Frazier, Jamal Crawford, Nate Robinson, Eddy Curry, Malik Rose, Jerome James and some more. He said the coolest were Jamal Crawford, Nate Robinson and Malik Rose. Others were nice too, I heard from him Marbury was a douche tho but he did sign only his jersey when he walked in LOL. Marbury got out of a bentley and he dropped his blackberry when he got out and picked it up and put in his pocket and looked pissed from what he said, and then he just walked in with his face down and didn't sign anyone's stuff but when my bro asked him he saw him and signed his Marbury jersey, lol probably because he was his jersey but pretty cool story nontheless. I think he got Walt Frazier's autograph and a picture with him when he sneaked onto that backstage/VIP pass thing at a Mavs game, he got onto the court and saw Walt and got a pic and autograph. Pretty cool and nice for him, I don't mind missing all that though because what I really want is Kobe or some nice Lakers players like LO/Artest/Pau/Fish/Bynum/Brown and even Phil or Harper. My lil bro did get a pic and autographs with Sasha though when we went to the Lakers game last year where Kobe scored 61, Sasha came out through the media entrance and just took a cab, he was pretty cool and signed everyone's stuff, he signed my brother's Kobe jersey and took a picture with him. Dude is amazing, hope he becomes amazing on the court too.

I was at the game last night and I saw that Lamar gave out a few autographs before the game started. He was out on the court by himself, 30 min or so before the game.

I am not sure if I remember this correctly but sometime before the game was over he left his seat and stood near the floor section. Right when the game was over he streaked for the team exit area and he slipped past security and just kinda stood there until he was close enough to ask Lamar for his shoes. Lamar didn't skip a beat he said he immediately kicked them off and took my mans sharpie and started to sign them. Now this was not at STAPLES this was sometime ago at the HONDA CENTER in Anaheim. I don't think its that easy to get to the floor at Staples. When I was younger I often got to the floor before and after a Laker game at the FORUM. I am still amazed by that...

When I lived in Detroit there was a part in the parking lot right by the players cars where fans would wait. Usually you had two guys come and sign autographs. Sheed and Flip Saunders came out. Sheed was signing but you can tell he wasn't enjoying it and just trying to get it done. He wouldn't sign my Jordans. Or maybe they were Nike's because of the shoe? Flip was cool though.
