Nash praises Rondo

Its great that other players are realizing just how great he truly is. He's hands down the best point guard in the East right now.

Rondo is definitely a top 5 PG in the league...I am most impressed by his rebounding ability

I don't know exactly were he is ranked but he has to eventually get a respectable J. His quickness and freaking athletic ability are his biggest strengths so once that is gone you have to be a bit more crafty with your game to make an impact.

I can't imagine Nash saying negative things about anyone after being directly asked questions about them.

I'm starting to think more and more that after the big 3 era is done, Rondo might be good enough to lead a team full of decent to lesser stars to success. He missed a chance to put it away the other night. I love that we are going to him. The misses are probably worth more to his development as a clutch player and leader.

Ditto. The fact that Rondo's locked up for another 5 years eases the pain of the inevitable decline of our Big Three.

That is why I hope they get Perk locked up as well.
I do see the Cs in a few years with a set of players
PG - Rondo
C - Perk
PF - Someone like David West
SF - Someone like James Posey in his mid 20s or maybe Matt Barnes
SG - Pure scorer who doesn't require the ball in his hands (Healthy someone like Redd)
and most importantly a tough big to come off the bench, ala Leon Powe. Not that I don't like Baby, but when KG is gone I think we need more tough minded guys.

Just in case you guys didn't know his, but Rondo and Nash are tight. Have been since Rondo's rookie year, which makes the Phoenix trade ironic. They both have the same agent, which is how they met. Nash reached out to Rajon, and they have maintained contact ever since.

So when you see Rondo

1. Pass with both hands.... just like Nash

2. Dribble through the baseline and find shooters from that position out... just like Nash

3. Use the bounce pass as his main weapon... just like Nash

It really isn't a coincidence. Nash has been a mentor for him for a long time now, and Rondo is consciously emulating his approach to passing.

Now if we could only get him to shoot like him too
