Suns @ Jazz Monday 01-25 7 PM MT

Post#1 » by Reckless » Mon Jan 25, 2010 9:52 am

Suns have been struggling on the road as of late, let's hope the struggles continue in Utah

Apparently the suns have been trying to trade Amare, but I doubt they let him go unless they get a good offer

First meeting of the year with the Suns. We are going to see them a bunch over the next little while.

gotta win this, cant afford to be losing tie breakers to teams in the the same position we are. I think we have a shot for home court advantage come playoff time.

Deron and Boozer vs Nash and Amare is going to be great tonight.

Why?

I never liked their soft, no defense run and gun style

The Suns haven't won a road game since November? Oucheewawa. This would be a very bad loss for the Jazz considering that tidbit. Jazz roll as long as they collect over 23 assists.

Haven't won a game since November means that they are yearning for it to end, so we can't look at that as positive. We've been hot of late, so being that the Suns have been terrible on the road, we just need to do what we've been doing, and NOT play down to their level on the road. We gotta do to them what the Mavs did to the Knicks. OK, maybe that's too much, but we can't let this one slip away. :-)

I remember we played at Phoenix last season and Amare TORCHED Millsap on the boards. One reason why I never wanted him to replace Boozer. This run-n-gun crap doesn't work against us, Jazz by 20.

Agreed, the Jazz shouldn't have any problem with this game if they do the following:

Keep Phoenix in half court sets, limit fast break points
Rebound, rebound, rebound
Defend the 3
Take the ball inside, their interior D shouldn't give the Jazz too many problems

D-Will has a huge advantage against Nash, I'd like to see Boozer handle Amare and for Kirilenko to keep playing the way he has of late and the Jazz should win.

X-Factor: Memo has been on fire against the Suns over the few years and averages upwards 20 a game against these guys.

Lets just hope the Jazz don't coast this one and open up the game with some intensity.

How do you figure? If this was a boxing match I'd agree with you, but since it's basketball I'm going to give the edge to Nash. I think he's still the better point guard.

By my count Memo was fouled twice within about 15 seconds and neither was called. Sometimes I just don't understand NBA officiating.

I wonder if Boler is a fan of Karl Hungus as well...

Jazz with some incredible energy early in this game, this is a lot of fun to watch!

Word is, South Beach is ecstatic that they
won't be seeing Millsaps talents again this season...
