Case in point, while with the Packers in the last decade he threw 5, 5 and 6 interceptions in playoff games, threw a criticle pic against Philly the Pack eventually lost, threw one two years ago in the NFC championship game against the Giants in overtime similar to the one he threw last night against the Saints.
His last three seasons with Green Bay he threww 62 interceptions, and then 22 while with the Jets. Packer fans loved Brett pre drama queen years, but the last four seasons in Green Bay, his retiring/unretiring act eventually wore out his welcome.
He had alienated himself in the locker room, refused to help young quarterbacks in the teams system, and had his own locker in a private room away from the rest of the team.
He was uncoachable, so Ted Thompson and Mike McCarthy decided it was time to retire him, offering him 25 million over the next ten years to make three or four public appearances a year.
Brett refused to go quitely, holding the Packers for ransom and making a specticle of himself with a public fued with the Packers, who always tried to do right by him.
So now here he is throwing another interception in a big game, just as he had done the last eight years in GB.
In three years he will be reveered in Wisconsin once again, but for the time being he is thought of around these partsas a jerk, a prima dona and an over egotisitcal bastard. If he wouldn't have played the he said she game childish games he did publically with the Pack, telling one rediculous lie after another, all the things he did on the field would have been over looked, but instead it was always all about him, and for that Brett Favre, you have tarnished your image in the short term.
In the long term, people will come around and will always appreciate the dedication, the toughness and the incredible plays you laid out there on the field, putting GB back on the NFL map.
So I say thanks BRETT for all the memories, you are a one of a kind warrior. Now go retire, STFU, and let us all remember you the way we all wanted to in the first place., as a HOF quarterback who led us to a championship (although you blew three others not countong the Vikings).
Thanks Brett, now go home, and oh yeah, the 25 million offer the Pack showed you two years ago is off the table
