Glen Davis says he needs a new name.

I think Baby fits to a T but if anyone wants to help the big boy out please post your name suggestions here. You know he reads internet boards...

His number 11. Like Chad Johnson's name is Ocho Cinco because his number is 85.

Getting sick of this cutesy crap. Here's an idea, why don't you spend as much time thinking about how to box out and get rebounds, or finishing around the rim, as you do with your self-promotional tripe. Seriously.

I second that, and that is because I like Davis' game given who he is.

How about earn a new nickname?

I'm sorry but Big Baby is for life. Some names just stick and for a guy who is called "baby" more often than his actual name, he can just forget about it.

Besides, uno uno is stupid, he's not even Spanish.

he is usually refered to as Big Baby Davis, I think the Davis should be dropped. Big Baby is what he will be known forever.

It quite funny how when it was mentioned in Sports Central they mentioned it as he was copying Chad Ochocincos, but yet when Papelbon decided a couple of years ago to do the same, oh that's "Cinco Ocho" no mention of him copying anyone!

That said I agree with the idea that you earn a nickname first! Never give yourself titles, always let others do it based on your actions and so far he's been a "Big Baby!"

It wasn't even his idea, a metro reporter suggested it and he said he liked it <----- to the guys getting their panties in a twist bout baby's play.

He's nowhere near good enough to have a basketball nickname, although anything that could retire Big Baby is a good thing. It used to be that only a few guys were good enough to have a nickname, Dr. J, Magic Johnson, they meant something. Hearing Tommy yell out "Big Baby" pretty much makes me want to turn off the sound.

Uno Uno has no chance of sticking. Like I said, he's not good enough to have one anyway, unless "Grow the F Up" can be a nickname.

**** Big Baby. That dude's a joke, remember when he was talking about making the All-Star team (HAHAHA) and then playing pro football, he lives in some fantasy land only he got invited to.I hate the way he plays and he's more annoying then most the refs in the NBA. Big Baby is the only player I hope we trade before the deadline.

Big Baby is his nickname. You don't have to be good to have a nickname if you got it before basketball. He is like one of the guys in the mob. They are not good guys and they still have nicknames. By the same token you can not really change your nickname.. Your not in control of it..

I prefer "Wanga Gut" or "Bang Belly" but a friend of mine offered up "Louisiana Fats" in one of his messages the other day. To me, that is comic gold. Not sure if that guy posts here or not but he is the master of nicknames.

Glen Davis has talked about changing his nickname from "Big Baby" to "Uno Uno" for his jersey number.
Coach Doc Rivers wasn't too thrilled with the new name, preferring Davis just stick with his first name, Glen. "That would be nice instead of Shanaynay or Mookie or Spooky," said Rivers. Whatever name he's going by, his fantasy value is minimal unless you're in a very deep league.

"Doc" Rivers thinks he should just stick with his first name, huh?
