Could Amare land in Sacramento? According to this great article, definitely possible. http://outtatownclowns.wordpress.com/

Yeah Amare can be like Chris Webber and resign with the team unexpectedly.

Amare can be like Chris Webber.

Chris Webber.

Before you begin reading, I do want to warn you there is no truth or even speculation that the Kings are interested in Stoudemire. But if some fans may remember the Suns and Kings were supposedly interested in considering a deal involving Kevin Martin. Martin has 4 years remaining on his contract and he’s a piece that can be involved in a Stoudemire deal that the Suns are guarantee to have moving forward in the coming years. Yes, he’s always an injury risk and Richardson currently occupies the starting role at shooting guard but it’s an interesting idea. Send Kevin Martin and Kenny Thomas and (here’s the big stretch) Jason Thompson and I’d see the Suns pulling the trigger.

It clearly said that there is no evidence that the Kings are interested in Amare. He is just pulling nothing out of his ass.

Here was my post about the Amare-situation with the Kings in the other thread:

11 months ago, the Suns wanted Kevin Martin for Amare but we declined emphatically. Couple days later, you guys wanted Jason Thompson (rookie at the time), cap space and a pick (which turned out to be #4). We pondered about it for days and eventually declined.

So knowing that, I think Amare's value hasn't really changed from almost a year ago (assuming it is a S&T) and still command a nice prospect, capspace and a pick (Not as high as the #4 but around late lotto) IMO.

But if you packaged Amare with J-Rich, his value goes down and you guys won't get the mentioned packaged above.

...

To be perfectly honest, I don't think Amare would push us to the top. An Evans/Martin/Amare trio would be great but I don't think there is enough defense up front and get bounced in the first or second round. Unless, we signed Haywood or whatever over the summer, things would be very interesting IMO.

I'd rather have Amare than Martin, but not by much.

And here was my next post after the previous one:

I think the Kings would rather hold Martin to pair him up with Evans/Amare and co.

If (and I say IF) the duo between Evans and Martin do not mix, I think a (S&T) Amare deal would be pretty doable for the Kings. I don't think that would address our defensive problems but adding Amare would give us a huge boost IMO.

If we had a chance to obtain Amare for Martin (assuming that there is substantial proof that Martin does not fit with Evans/Kings in general) I think we have to do it. Amare is arguably one of the best returns we can get for Martin IMO. I just love to see the Evan/Amare pick n' roll. Nasty.

I'd certainly rather have Amare than Kevin--completely disregarding Kevin's recent play. He just provides quite a bit of what we really need from a big.

I'd rather have Chris Bosh, he is a much better player IMO. However, Amare is a all-star and you never know how he much mesh with Evans, it could be fantastic. I think the options for getting a big of Amare's talents are slim and very few. Its not like players of his talent are on every team, he would definetly upgrade our frontline. And at the very least he would be a expiring contract, freeing up tons of cap for us.
Sometimes you just have to look yourself in the mirror and say....Tyreke Evans.
That just happened.

I think anyone paying attention would rather have Bosh than Amare, but if Sacramento can get Amare without giving up any of our young guys with Martin in the process, I think it would have to be at least seriously considered.

Yi Jianlian, Courtney Lee & 1st round draft pick (lottery protected).

He had to have gotten this from the trades and transition forum.

How about this?

Kings Sign and Trade this off-season: Kings trade Martin, Thompson, 1st for Bosh.

Sign Haywood.

Evans/Beno
Greene/Garcia
Casspi/Nocioni
Bosh/Brockman
Haywood/Hawes

That would not be a smart move for Sacramento.

If we could find anyway to guarantee that Bosh sticks around, I would do that so incredibly fast. But I don't think we can for right now.

And yeah, I'd certainly rather have Bosh than Amar'e too. But I think Amar'e would probably be easier to get.

We can put this rumor to bed.

Kings Unlikely To Make Play For Amar'e

Kings president Geoff Petrie says that he will consider any trade that would benefit the team, but Amar'e Stoudemire isn't a likely option.

"If there's something that makes sense for us, we'll take a hard look at it," Petrie said.

Two sources close to the Kings told the Sacramento Bee it would be "highly unlikely" that Stoudemire would re-sign with the team this summer.

Good. Nothing new there....we know we dont want Amare unless its an absolute steal of a trade. Meaning Martin stays, which obviously wouldn't happen in the event that we get Amare.

I would do this trade, picks might be put in to sweeten it for both sides (collins would be bought out)
