Kendrick Perkins-How Much $ will he get?

We can give him a 6 year deal becuase we have his Bird Rights. I think a 6 year, 50 Million contract is good... I think Perk is the kind of guy that will have a hard time adjusting to a new place and new teammates (off-court wise) so he will probably stay even for a 5/35 deal...

I think there are two issues at hand. What is he worth and what is it going to take?

The MLE is a 7mil a year avg for 5 years and there is Rondo's 11mil per for 5 years. Now prior to this season Perk would have hopefully fit in between those two. But now he is averaging over 12 ppg and grabbing 8 boards and is one of the few defensive centers in the NBA. Guys with half of his production have gotten that kind of money and Perk is 25 years old.

My biggest concern is the contract that Perk signed off his rookie deal has been way below market value. If Perk remains healthy and at his current level of play then I think that Boston has to go to him this off season and offer him what they gave Rondo and hope he wants the security again and not try and break the bank based on his age and skill set.
