Ty Corbin may coach Depaul

Post#1 » by HolyToledo » Thu Jan 28, 2010 6:37 am

Ty Corbin will likely interview with Depaul for their head coaching position. He has previously interviewed for NBA coaching jobs. I always assumed either he or Hornacek would be the Jazz new head coach should Sloan die within the next year. Sloan never going to quit or get fired because management is afraid of him, so it will take death for him to leave. Sloan = Tom Landry without the hat. When is Jerry Jones buying the Jazz so Sloan can leave.

I agree with what Toledo says, I hate Sloan. 27-18... You call that a record?

Yeah seriously! Sloan needs to play harder! All he ever does is sit there on the bench and tell everyone else what to do! Or maybe he could at least sign some better players, or make us suck bad enough to get some decent draft picks. Thanks for nothing Sloan! You lazy bum!

Wasn't this intended to be a thread on Ty Corbin? HolyT man, it would be nice to yourself to at least stand by your own threads.,.. just saying....
Anyway... what I really hate about Sloan is how much he gets into some kind of Jazz fans' skin; I hate it, he has no right to do it. He's not getting paid to bother the Toledos of Jazzland. Management should do someting about it because the old scrub seems to be having a negative impact on season ticket holders and such things. Besides... he sucks...
Just for the sake of giving Ty a little bit of respect into his thread... I would love to see him coaching NCAA ball....

Ty has been preparing himself to be an NBA coach. With recruiting and such college coaching is different than the NBA. If this is what he wants I wish him success.

Well, Depaul is his alma mater. Can't fault a guy for returning to where he came through if he does decide to take it. By all reports I recall he is destined to get a head coaching job sooner or later. I'm happy for the guy either way--whether he gets the promotion or gets to stay with the Jazz.

It's not like coaching college ball would rule him out from coming back to Utah when Sloan retires/croaks. This isn't bad news at all. Maybe Depaul will recruit his kid and he will get to coach him.

Best of luck if he goes.
