The Navarro Pick Tracking Thread

Post#1 » by likwitdesi » Thu Jan 28, 2010 7:24 am

I remember the conditions for the pick were a ton, but it seems like the pick has a chance of finally being activated this year, which would be a huge boon, with the Grizzlies doing so well. Does anyone know the protection of the pick for this draft? Is it lotto-protected only at this point?

Turns out it is only lottery-protected this year! Memphis is currently in 7th place in the West. Cross your fingers.

Well....bad news there.

The conditions are that Javaris Crittenton is/was accepted in lieu of the the pick.

Salt in the wounds there, I know.

We shall speak no more of this.

The good news though is that it's been rumored that Jack Daniels is likely to become a team sponsor.

I think I read that somewhere.

Well, with how things have been going, why not just slather on the misery, no? To that end, we could just sticky this.

IIRC it was heavily protected until 2012, at which point it would become two seconds. Either way, I'm not worried about it.

I always thought that was Ernie's worst move. Just very short-sighted and a very bad risk/reward ratio.
