Espn Insider.
Does anyone have an Insider account? I was thinking of getting one but am not sure if it will be worthwhile. Any feedback/review on it would be appreciated.

They have some pretty nice articles in there and the rumors are pretty cool, but in all honesty most of the rumors are posted on realgm wiretap anyway. If you get ESPN the magazine, you can get Insider on the website for free by entering the code that comes on the mailing label of your magazine.

^And if you get Insider, you get electronic versions of the magazines.

I guess for $26 it's worth a look. Probably should have just bought it rather than waste a thread on it. Thanks though Dunthreevy.

Neat. I read that I get a coffee tumbler and extras, seems like a worthy deal now.

I signed up for 2 years, and I use ESPN for multiple sports, so I'm getting a lot of rumor and draft talk from LEADING experts (even if I disagree, at least it's not because they didn't think things through) and once you spread the cost, it's like a menial fee per month.

A few years ago, ESPN Insider was a big deal because they had a system that found anything and everything about teams, and all you had to do was go and click on one page and see all the news. However, in today's age of technology, IMO it's a waste of money. I had it a while back and never found info that i couldn't else elsewhere. If you read the basketball blogs (truehoop, ball don't lie) and visit some of the sites like Indy Star (articles/blog), twitter, yahoo sports and such, then you will find all the rumors there too. Plus, wiretap gathers most of the info too from newspapers.
The first rule of Basketball: Believe.

Re: Espn Insider.
For the most part, it's a news aggregator. It pulls infor from local papers, blogs, etc.
Hoopshype.com was always worthwhile for that. I haven't tried it in a while, but it also gave pretty decent info, and pulled the same local newspapers, etc. Can't take everything as gospel truth there though, as they'll re-publish (with links) to anybody, but at least you'll get the info.

I got it for a few years and then quit. I subscribe now to the free daily www.sportingnewstoday.com and recommend it strongly.
