Yes KG did just come back, after resting and sitting out numerous games. The teams issues are definitely bigger than KG, and I do agree a trade must be made if this team wants to match up against CLE and LA in the playoffs and have a chance at winning the title. Maybe DA can get us a veteran 3 before the trade deadline seeing as how Lue has a chance of being activated during the second half of the season and play the point off the bench. I'd be much more comfortable saying that we'd be able to beat a healthy LA team in the finals with another veteran addition to the bench.

And leave Dwight Howard wide open in the paint for an easy dunk? Come on now...the play was done when Lew drove by KG...there really was no way to avoid it after that...

seriously. I was more upset that Kg didn't shut off the bassline and force Shard back to his left.

yes.

I'm starting to really worry that KG's knee problem will never resolve itself. I'm not sure I'm buying this hypertension stuff. Perhaps his knee is just shot. I really hope not though

Daniels will help. However, the Rip trades being mentioned might also help

Did you watch the game?

Agree Paul played like he had the flu, KG was not the KG of ole, not even close,
and Baby got stuffed because he has no vertical, and committed 5 Fouls in 16 Minutes.

But Rondo was great.
7 Rebounds, 8 Assists, 3 Steals, 5-9 FG's.

It's not Rajon's fault
that Pierce or Garnett couldn't make a shot,
Pierce and Garnett combined for 10 turnovers,
and Pierce had 2 rebounds in 40 minutes.

If Pierce could have hauled in 2 more rebounds,
or committed 4 turnovers instead of 6 turnovers,
Celtics would have won the game.

Have fun losing your next two games to Atlanta and Los Angeles.

Well on your way to the 4th seed!

So much for Dwight not having a post game right?

lol

Ah, it's easy to do post moves when the guy covering you has 5 fouls. Have fun with Vince Carter for the next few years !

Thank God it will only be the rest of this one and MAYBE next... i think we have a team option on his last year... he's a bum.... anyways..

I don't like you guys, but at least i think your team deserves what they get more than America's next best dance crew AKA the Cavs... i respect the Celts and enjoy close ones like this one was.

Yes, probably. If KG's knee gets better, we are the best team in the league.

since i didnt get a chance to elaborate on my earlier post, here it goes. you guys had a bunch of fans at the game lol. like half of our arena was boston fans. why didnt doc go small when we went big? something like rondo, house, allen, garnett, wallace. it would have forced stan to go back to shard at the 4 because gortat cant play defense on the perimeter against a big like rashard can.

anyways, good game, see you next time
I live rent free in your head. You know who you are :D

Not changing this sig until Magic win a championship. Started 6/26/2015.

I tuned in only during the second quarter so I missed that scuffle between Barnes and Pierce.

I've never been a fan of KG's antics on court, but it sure was classy of him to just separate the two right in the middle and not get involved himself.

Have faith. Our GM is not stupid and we still have a very good team, an open roster spot and tradeable contracts. This **** ain't over, it's only just begun.

Like last season? Mikki Moore and Starberry? That turned out great.

So we lost a close game on the road to a TOP TEAM and we're STILL not HEALTHY........let the PANIC BEGIN..... :onfire: :onfire: :onfire: :onfire: :onfire: :onfire: :onfire: :onfire: :onfire: :onfire: :onfire: :onfire:

btw......If Perk could have kept his head straight this game was a blowout big time.

"We deserved it," Celtics coach Doc Rivers said. "I thought we completely lost our focus. An 11-point lead at halftime, I told them it was a joke. We should've been up by 25 points."

I know usually one play doesn't change the out come of a game, but when KG missed that back door lob, I knew the game was over. That would have put us up 17 and they came down and Lewis buried a three to take it to twelve. Those are the type of plays where momentum is completely lost. I can't blame him, but how many times is an Eddie House three reversed to a two. Get your feet right guy.

It is not that fact that lost so much as it other issues. The celtics have been playing awful since christmas. In fact they are playing around 500 ball. They are ALWAYS falling apart in the 2nd half. They have rebounding issues and offensive issues. Allen is slowing down and who knows if at this point if KG will ever be the same. If they lose against the Hawks tonight (which they probably will) and Sunday will people still keep ignoring the issues this team has? I mean at what point do even the people with green colored googles start to worry?
Reggie stood out like a sore thumb no tattoos no agenda no chirping nothing Just a guy who could score at will He played college ball at Northeastern he replaced Larry as Celtics captain he belonged to Boston.
And I still miss him. Even now.

Not surprisingly this thread is filled with posts claiming not to be worried because we're not healthy - but that in itself is a concern.

When will we be??

The signs are not good out there; still a great team but there's no denying the Celtics are far off pace for the title at this stage - we're fortunate that it's a long season.

Magic too are off pace right now for a title run. But still early for both teams.

A good question......no certain answer.......but a 2 point loss does not rattle my cage. KG imho WILL get and play better....it's a matter of time or I don't think he would be on the floor. The folks here have no patience....I personally do have patience and the think the team does too. Hopefully before the playoffs the leg will get stronger and KG will get back to KG.

11 pts and 8 assists..ALL UNDER AVERAGE. Only player for us who was great was Ray Allen. sheed was great on the 1st half, and Eddie was some what great doing his stuff off the bench. Rondo is scared to go in the paint when Howard is in there. He used to go when Howard came out of the game, but now he is scared of Gortat too. He didn't set the pace for the Celtics in the 4th QT. As a matter of fact, he was INVISIBLE during the 4th until he had that wide open lay up. His defense on Nelson was LAUGHABLE in the 1st quarter. He didn't even TRY to get over the picks. Yes, it's not his fault KG and Pierce sucked even worse and couldn't make shots..but where is the Rondo who had a major game vs Orlando xmas day?If that one shows up, we win easily. Everybody in here knows he takes some days off to just walk..and he did that yesterday for the most part. We needed above average Pierce, Rondo and KG tonight. We got under average Pierce, Rondo and KG. So boom..we lose. Plain and simple.
