JKiddy here.

You all know me. I only speak when it's entirely necessary. The fate of our franchise is at stake so I figured I must say something. Rumblings around the NBA have Amare, Bosh, TMac, Boozer, etc, on the market. But, we should focus on a big man who plays both ends of the floor without health concerns. I believe that Bosh is the key to Wade or Lebron. We must get him. Toronto can't do much now if he tells them he's gone. If they trade him they will get .30 on the dollar. But, if they let him walk they get nothing.

Teams such as Phoenix or Toronto are looking for a young player who can blossom in his rookie contract, millions in expiring contract(s), and future valuable picks. I say we do this.

We give up a few major assets but in the end we grab Bosh who should fit in well AS LONG AS HE SIGNS HERE. Thorn and crew wouldn't do this unless he would. Every player in the NBA must know they will be playing in a very sick arena for 1-2 years before moving to Brooklyn (which will be the nicest arena in the NBA when it's done). Plus, MP will be putting in $$ to the team and will do whatever it takes to win.

Nets trade:

Bobby Simmons (major money off the cap)
Jarvis Hayes (another expiring)
Courtney Lee (young promising talent)
and the Nets first round pick from Dallas this year (end up being #20-#25 range).

Nets receive:

Chris Bosh (one of the new cornerstones of our franchise).

http://www.realgm.com/src_checktrade.ph ... id=5413649

Next year if we just grab Joe Johnson and for some reason Wade/Lebron don't come our team would still match up with any others with talent (especially if we fill out our bench).

Let's just say we do get #1 and take Wall. We can keep or even trade Harris for a 3 or let Wall come in as the 6th man for his rookie season.

C Lopez
PF Bosh
SF CDR/Williams
SG Joe Johnson
PG Harris
6th man Wall
7th Williams/CDR
8th FA
9th Quinn
10th 1st pick of the second round 2010

Those 10 alone are enough to make noise. We should be top 3/4 in the East depending on how well they mesh together and the other moves the other teams make. Push that number up if we grab Wade or Lebron instead of Johnson.

Yi would be in the mix as well if we kept him... but we might lose him in a deal... but probably not to Toronto since they already have Bargnani...

@JKiddy

I would be willing to move A LOT of pieces for Bosh, IF he agreed to an extension.

Here's an idea if we want to move all our eggs in one basket. Kinda crazy so I don't mind the flames haha.
Say Bosh would agree to an extension, would you be willing to move yi, lee, expirings to equal salaries and even our #1 this year. I'm pretty sure we would have enough room for one more Max contract after that we could even sign Joe Johnson and be SET.

PG Harris
SG Joe Johnson
SF TWill
PF Bosh
C Brook

Looks pretttttyy enticing to me hahaha

We would have to put thorn in witness protection if he "offered" that.

Haha all I'm saying is that I would be willing to give up our #1 if we could land an extended Bosh. I threw yi and lee in there to create more cap room. The draft isn't a given, yi is still a raw project. Bosh is already a proven star and would attract either a Johnson, Wade or LeBron.
To me it's worth it to land Bosh.

Bosh can only sign a three year extension on top of his option year before the trade deadline.
That would mean he would be signed for 4 more seasons.
If he was going to do that, wouln't he just wait till the offseason and sign with us for 5 seasons?
Plus, you really think Bosh is going to sign an extension to get traded here?
I'm just saying...

You really are like ants at a picnic, you know that, Vince?

Who wouldn't want to sign here?*

You talk about how Bosh is a "must get" yet your offer indicates anything, but that. Courtney Lee and a pick currently projected to be #26 in the draft? :o

I forgot to add in another 1st rounder in 2012. By that time we should be a title contender and our pick won't be that valuable anyway. But, no other team will think that.

:-? :-? You didn't even propose a trade in this thread (or on this forum). Unless this is JKiddy using a different forum handle.

Nice try, this reminds me of how once a week on the Raptors board someone makes a thread saying Bosh for Lopez, Harris, and your #1 is a fair deal we should do

JKiddy wrote:. This could probably only happen the week of or hours before the deadline. But, this would give Houston the cap space it needs and still get rid of TMAC (he's causing problems there), and gives Toronto talent, money in expirings, and a pick back (Dallas #1 this year - around #24 overall).

The Nets would get Bosh and TMac. If TMac impresses we can sign him and if he doesn't we let him walk and get the $24 mill or so in cap space.

HERE IT IS!

Thoughts?

Dude you are way to smart to be "All alone 33". And I'm tipping if you were offered 80 mill to play with KG. you wouldn't sook and demand a trade. I rekon you would sign the contract then do luc longley and take the insurance.

Cheers

Open Trade Threads Merged, Locked Trade Threads Gone...just doing a little cleaning. Some of you really cluttered up the board.
