Much of the credit for these ideas goes to Miller4ever, CellarDoor, Snakebites, and Warspite.

The rules are:

16 teams

10 players per team

All NBA and ABA players are available (each player may only be selected once).

Each starter must be from a different decade (I don't expect anyone to try to circumvent this rule, but, just in case, a "starter" must start and play at least 25 minutes per game, and all players taken in the first 3 rounds must start).

1 year peaks (1979-80 is considered the 80s; the 2009-10 season cannot be used)

ABBAABBAAB draft order

No trading

4 divisions of 4 teams each

The first round is round robin. Each team will play the other teams in its divisions once; each participant will vote on matchups not in his/her division. Failure to vote on a matchup will result in a loss of one vote in that player's own matchup.

After that, there will be four teams (two matchups). Eliminated participants can vote.

There may be additional outside judges.

Ugh. I'm torn.

This is my baby in terms of the idea. And the draft itself should go alright given my ability to orchestrate picks from my phone, but the write-up itself concerns me.

Yep, of course; I even have a name for my planned personal blog that I am gonna showcase here as well - Myth should win this thing...

BTW, there were 6 decades so far if you count the late 40s and the 50s as one. Not that I expect many players from this era being taken, just making sure they are theoretically eligible...
