The Michael Ruffin Shrine v.2

Post#1 » by jmrosenth » Thu Jan 28, 2010 6:40 pm

I have a dollar with your name on it for anyone who can find me the first iteration of this thread.

From MLee's just completed chat:

As for Michael Ruffin, his price tag might be too steep since the Wizards have gone 76-142 since he left town.

i had had two martinis at this point so i asked her if he every shouted DAGGER in the bedroom with her.

she looked at me kinda strangely and said she had no idea what DAGGER meant.

I don't have the time to sort through it, but here is the RealGM Wiz Board archive from 2000-2008.

http://web.archive.org/web/*/http://realgm.com

It's in there somewhere, along with other great threads.

(PS: If someone finds a great thread that's still in archive-status, please post it in the Wiz Board HOF/Traditions thread that's at the top of the page. I'll add it into the first post)

My dollar isn't worth much to you is it?

If memory serves me correctly, the original Michael Ruffin shrine was traded to the Milwaukee Bucks board when he left town. I'm no sure who OK'ed that deal, but I blame you.

Shouldn't you be playing a rousing game of shuffle-board then hitting the sack, old man?

is it merely a coincidence that all our troubles seem to have started with that fateful night we turned our backs on the ruffin? we reap what we have sowed.

michael ruffin would never have allowed these shenanigans. he would have protected us.

kids nowadays. get off our lawn!
Until Grunfeld goes there is no rebuild.

Ted needs to add an 11th step to his rebuilding plan: get Ruffin back and quick.

I knew that was going to be Mo-Pete. I don't know why I clicked on it.

There's this other site I used to frequent and the blokes would always try and trick you into clicking on this...

Thanks for the sticky. It's good to know I still get some respect around here. Must have been WizStorm.

I can't believe this thread is lost, if so. I've inquired on the Bucks board.

The Wizards are undefeated since the reinstatement of the Ruffin Shrine.

Repent sinners! It has been our fault all along!

Return to Washington Wizards
