Holy Toledo, it seems to me that some sort of fan anxiety just does not allow you to watch the games as they really are... To say Millsap's the only one that looked good or that Gaines showed that his only positive is he can score is really a long way from the game as it was actually played...

Millsap proved he can have a good game against a team with no interior defense and no bigs to put on him. Hawes is abysmal at best and May is two Twinkies away from becoming Oliver Miller. I want to see Millsap do this against a team with a decent bigs.

He's already done it every year he has had to fill in when Boozer has missed time. Any time Boozer is out Millsap is good for 15-10. Why do people expect those same numbers when he's coming off the bench?

We don't and we won't see them. Some of us remember a broken down Millsap that floundered at the end of last season. He couldn't handle the starting duties for 2/3rd's of the year, what makes you think he can be your primary PF in a PG/PF offense? He is a good scrapper, great rebounder and opportunist scorer. He is not a good low block player and has a hard time running the pick & roll, which just happens to be the staple of our offense. Go back and watch games where D-Will and Sap are in together, they rarely run a pick & roll whereas this is ran at a much greater frequency and success rate with Boozer.

I know people want to hate on Boozer and like Harpring eluded to in this game that one good game from Millsap with Booz out would bring the "Trade Carlos!" rhetoric back, and it's already happening. Fact is, we wouldn't be sitting where we are in this streak without him.

I have no hate for Boozer, I'd have no problems if they resigned him. I just don't get the hate I've seen for Millsap throughout the year. I just signed up for this forums but I've been reading them for a while and I'd swear damn near every game thread I see people complaining that Millsap ain't doing enough and he's not earning his contract, etc. The man is averaging 10 and 6 on 55% off the bench. Seems pretty good to me.

Hell, if Boozer left I'd probably prefer if they moved AK back to the 4 where he belongs.

Boozer's definitely a better low post scorer and overall offensive player than Millsap. No question there. However, I don't buy the argument that Millsap simply can't handle being a starting power forward. He may have broken down a little bit towards the end of the season, but isn't it possible that that was due to the fact that he was playing far more minutes than he ever has before and in a vastly different role? Don't you think he could adjust to those minutes and that role? Or do you think he's simply incapable of improving his conditioning, adjusting and improving. Whether or not he can, I don't think last season by itself is enough to conclude anything too definitive, other than that the guy can play.

So I guess Sap proved all you clowns that love to doubt him wrong. He is worth every penny we are paying him, and then some. We got a GREAT deal on Sap.

Great game for the Jazz. AK had another very solid performance. We had another 9 block game. The team came together for this win.

Oh did I mention, SAP IS A BEAST! :D

Word is, South Beach is ecstatic that they
won't be seeing Millsaps talents again this season...

I would love Millsap to start couple more times so you clowns would ask for his head...
It's just one game against Kings. Let's see what he can do against Dallas.

Quick Hits from tonight off the DVR:

Paul Millsap completely dominated the game. He was a beast. Should have been fed the ball more.

I am loving this vintage Andrei. He is trying to throw down everything. 5 blocks tonight. Havent seen that in a while.

Sundiata's stats look solid, but he forced up some garbage too. He has Keith McLeod-itis.

Kosta threwup the most godawful hook I have ever EVER seen.

I missed Deron. Ugly quality to this one.

I will always love Hot Rod. Bolerjack and Locke can eat my shorts. In the old school Hot Rod clips, the one were he was doing that fake pass repeatedly was awesome. Boy . . . he really loved Stockton.

How did Ron Boone get his job? He cannot put a coherent sentence together. Would love to see Matt Harpring kick him to the curb.

Man if AK could have thrown down that tomahawk it would have been a "dunk of the year" candidate

It was enough to get him a fat contract...

Gaines was really good, yes he forced 2 shots but at least he made some, Price stank to high heavens........ If it wasn't for his 2 blocks and 2 steals, he might have had thw worst game ever........

The difference between Millsap and Boozer is largely quickness. Millsap simply has quicker feet, quicker reactions. The Jazz can do well with Millsap at the starting PF position, but need to find a better supporting cast.
