Karl should be blasting Nene for only pulling down 2 boards...not JR for missin a couple shots.

Nene is a man of Jesus. Karl would rather bully the kid who everyone thinks is the problem.

Im in this badwagon, Nene´s church/cancer/injuries killed the player once i was big fan.
Nenê, brazilan tomahawk!

Imo, this is one of those games where no matter what you do, you're just not gonna win. The ball kept bouncing their way, they played well, they played together and defense, they got calls, we didn't. One of those "acceptable" losses.

But what's not acceptable is Nene. Eight attempts when Melo is out? Chauncey also had only 8 attempts, but he shot threes and went to the line 9 times. So Nene also shot 2 FTs? It's just not acceptable. The worst is of course his 2 rebounds. You want to etch your name in stone as Denver's all time most unselfish player, but go grab 15 rebounds. This is just lack of sense of responsibilities. If he had gone 4-for-15, I'd have been okay... but this is like almost saying out loud, "let's LOSE this game!" These kind of games where we need Nene to step up, and he doesn't, actually worse, that he doesn't try to, are going to cost us more games this season, and a few important so-called playoffs games.

If we were to go back and replay this game without Melo I would definitely insert more JR/Nene p&r's. For some reason just really couldn't care about the game. There's some element of distraction with the weather and Melo still being out.

They can do it without Melo....but I think it's more of the uncertainty from day to day that kind of kills the spirit of the team. Chauncey's not going to take over every game. These games where we are short one of our big players each remaining player needs to divvy up the work and produce. It's not going to be easy to just give up 20-30 pts unless everyone chips in.

Well, we still want JR to select better shots. I don't like the dragging through the mud thing more than anyone else. Didn't Nene miss some layups instead of dunking it early on too?

I agree with Karl JR's selection swung the momentum of the game but he also was very poised on some catch and shoots that he made.

Irrespective of this game and how the team as a whole didn't do enough - JR does need to improve this aspect of his game. It's tiring to see him go for the long three 88% of the time, slump or not. He's playing for the streak and not setting up a game he can come back to.

I'd say he can shoot 1, if he makes it shoot one more - if he makes those two, shoot a third - and if he misses that third that should be the LATEST that he should then decide to start taking it to the hole. 66% shooting from long range is fine....pushing that out to 22% shooting by gambling on tough shots too often is no good. He can take 10 threes per game - but only if he mixes it up and spreads them out through the game.
