List of bigs for next year

Jarvis Varnando
Greg Monroe
Jerome Jordan
Cole Aldrich

I wouldn't mind any of these players.

Larry Sanders
DeMarcus Cousins
Ekpe Udoh
Solomin Alabi
Dexter Pittman
Gani Lawal
are others as well...

I'm really intrigued with Gani Lawal.

Are these guys prospect in the mold of Mullens? Is so...what's the point?

some don't have near Mullens' potential (with his size/athleticism combo), and some are far above his level currently... I don't see any of them coming in and starting next year (for our team). Not to say none are worth looking at, just I don't think any of them will be the C or PF on our playoff team next year :)

Aldrich>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>Mullens

I think we (im just gonna refer to myself as a thunder fan from now on after my suns though) should combine the phoenix pick and our pick along with jeff green to move up and grab Aldrich

absolutely perfect piece to add to this core

shot blocking, rebounding, great outlet passing, good touch around the rim, begining of a midrange game, team player

hes got the presti character mold too from what i gather

I use to be pretty high on Cole Aldrich until I saw this video the dude is a d-bag.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=np6kZcEV ... re=related

Maybe I'm looking a little too hard into it but the dude blocks every shot the little kids try to take.

He seems like he's kind of a tool. The kids are like 4 yrs old and he doesn't let them get off a shot.

I like Demarcus Cousins' skillset A LOT especially on offense. I think he could be a better fit for us than Aldrich (though I don't think either will be available when we pick unless we get lucky).

I agree Im watching him right now and he is an absolute beast. The only question I would have is his character.

Monroe would be nice for y'all too: it would even better if Ibaka would somehow learn to set up plays and pass from the (high)post and add a little jumper. Monroe will be a player who reminds people of Webber, and any team picking him beyond 6th will get a nice player for their draft position.

Monroe would enable Westbrook, Harden and Durant to move more freely.

I'd also inquire about Jason Thompson. If he can be had for one of Charlotte's bigs, I'm sure the Kings would listen to OKC too.

This franchise has been very weak at center with scrubs like Drobnjak (Krstic clone with better personality), Oyedeji, Moore, McCoy, James, Booth, Potapenko, Swift, Petro, Elson and now Krstic as the team's last centers. (Although Krstic is a lot more talented than the guys mentioned, but he's just as SOFT as most)

Cousins/Favors would be a good addition to the team, but they won't be around when OKC is on the clock.

I agree with Wiff about Aldrich, what a douche! The other guy is letting the kids have their fun, but Cole is acting like a ****.

The only bigs I like in this years draft are Favors, Cousins and Whiteside and I don't think OKC is able to get any of them. Aldrich would be an upgrade as well, but I haven't seen enough of him to want him on the team, reports are nice though.

I guess I would take a look at Varnado, Sanders and Udoh to become our Tyrus Thomas, instant energy, hustle, shot blocking off the bench.

Anyway, just let Ibaka develop and get him ready to become a starter next season. That should be goal number one, the guy's the next best thing. 8-)

The last good center was Perkins.

Earvin Johnson, Jim McIlvaine etc. Big history of retards.

Whiteside will stay in college I think. Favors won't be the typical big, more like Amare imo. Aldrich is a bit too slow, aking to Kaman who excels in half court plays too. Cousins is a head case. Even though the draft is full of bigs with potential, I dont see any of them fitting in well with the Thunder actually.

There are no bigs that would start for this team I agree.

I would look to get a Varnado/Udoh/Sanders to bring off the bench though.

A shotblocker would be nice. BUT Varnado is very one dimensional, Sanders is a tad skinny and Udoh is a project. Would OKC be better of trying to get a Thompson type of guy? He wont play above the rim, but he can stretch defenses, set up plays and play from the high post. I'm not sure how he would mesh with a Ibaka BUT he'd be very good with another passing guy, like Monroe. Pairing Monroe with Thompson would give OKC a great passing and scoring combo under the rim who lack great althetisicm, but who could be a better scoring verison of Divac/Webber. With Harden being able to set up plays and make the pass they'd have a great offensive team. Defense might be something to take a second look at though. But I'd love to see Durant/WB get paired with GREAT passers who enable the best scorers on the team to operate with more room.

Those three guys are about hustle and they can develop their game from the bench.

I'm not a fan of JT. There must be a reason why he's falling out of favor in Sacramento. He's soft/finesse, we already have a face up 4 in Jeff Green.

I would love Jason Thompson. He is anything but soft and finesse.

I'd trade them Green and Harprings insured contract for Jason Thompson and Kenny Thompson.

Jason Thompson started off the year strong but has been miserable since. He's not as perimeter oriented as Jeff Green but still gets most of his offense on jumpers (53%). He's a better rebounder than Green but isn't a great defender..

Thompson's TS% is very low for a PF, he doesn't do much to help us in the area we mostly need help in: shooting efficiency. He's in Jeff Green's ball park as a scorer.

Thompson is waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay stronger than Green. Much more of a physical specimen too. The reason why he fell of is that Westphal doesn tlike players like him and the Kings lack big man coaches. Bringing in a Divac or Webber would help them a lot.
