Game thread: Clippers vs. Cavaliers.

Post#1 » by PlinkingPanda » Sun Jan 31, 2010 1:14 am

Just starting the thread for discussion. Graphics are questionable since I need to work on my informative speech this weekend. Depends on how much free time I have.

All I can say is we need some kind of win on the road. Something to offset losing to the two worst teams in the league.
I've been an LA Clipper fan since 1998 and that will never change. I hate our new logo and jerseys!

Le Nacion would care more if they got rid of Dunleavy as the coach. It'd give us hope that there is some measure of accountability in the organization. Attendance would probably go up to.

Oh and I know the standard is the 5 pics of each starter but just put Lebron's pic for the Cavs. The way we've been playing he could beat us single handedly. As for our squad, it should just be a picture of Camby and four of these:

since we never know who is gonna miss a game because of a sore wrist, or ankle, or back, or the hotel didn't carry their line of shampoo, or their girlfriend didn't return their call, etc....

Agree that it's hard to get worked up in this situation at this point, as a Clippers fan.
It's possible for LeBron to lose interest in a game, or never work up any interest himself, but if he does bestir himself at any stage of the game, I don't see a lot of hope for the Dunleavy-coached Clippers to wipe the floor with him and the rest of his team.
I don't need the team to win all the time, heaven knows, or I wouldn't still be here, but it gets pretty painful and tiresome and sometimes downright ugly to see losses resulting from coaching errors, omissions and misjudgments again and again.

I'm right there with you guys. I'm not really all that excited for this game. Something about those last two losses really took the enthusiasm for this team right out of me.

So tell me why I rushed home from running errands to be back in time for this game. As irritated as I am with this team, I just can't NOT care. After the loss in Minnesota, I decided it would be best for both parties if the Clippers & I just took a little "break" from each other....but alas, here I am. Aye carumba.

Ralph Lawler tweeting that Kaman won't play again. This is gonna be brutal.

This is typically my nap time, so I hope that the Clippers are give me a good reason to skip my nap.

This is unbelievable. LeBron's shot is so wet. 7 straight 3's for the Cavs. LeBron with 18 points already.

Yeah this game is uh....yeah......It's funny to hear Ralph get a boner for LeBron every 5 seconds though. He's always my silver lining in any Clippers game.

Wow. Amazing first quarter of basketball for the Cavs. They are 11 of 13 from Bingo Land. Their team record is 16, so that will likely be shattered today. LeBron with 23 points already. On the Clippers' side of things, Baron is the only one with more than 2 points. He has 14 and is 3 of 3 from downtown.

Clippers "trail" by 31 with 4:25 left in the half. I could be pissed, sad, angry, etc. but for some reason I'm not.

Man are you kidding me? Cavs couldn't stop shooting their 3s in the 1st quarter...No one on our team can even make a shot :(

67-39 Cavs at the half. Baron is the only Clipper really trying. Al has contributed a little. The other little piggies stayed home.
