^^I don't think they should be. First, that messes with stipulation of 60's-70's-80's-90's-00's. Second, the 40's and 50's mess with everything.

The stipulation was that your starters must be from 5 different decades. In most cases, those decades will be the ones you listed, but there could be an exception or two. Very few players prior to the 60s will be drafted, IMO.

DAMN! I was looking forward to starting Harry Gallatin. I knew no players from the 40's so I had to look this guy up. Apparently he was the Chuck Hayes of his time.

I'm fine with any decade 00s or earlier being eligable.

If someone wants to sell someone from the 50's they are welcome to try it. I think we all know how the 50's are generally viewed in these competitions. It may not be a great strategy, but I see no reason why it should be disallowed.
