6-11 in last 17 games!

Post#1 » by klemen4 » Mon Feb 1, 2010 1:26 pm

I have a big faith in this team, still believe we can make it out of the East, but doubt we can win LAL in 7 games series without home court. A change has to be made, even small one...player, two to give us fresh blood and energy. We will see what happens till playoffs with the team.

Despite not being worried about the team to much it kind of shocked me that after Christmas we have a score 6-11, I knew we lost a lot of games but 6-11. Just wanted to remind everyone of our score with this post.

Lets look those 17 games

Sun, Dec 27 @ LA Clippers L 90-92
Mon, Dec 28 @ Golden State L 99-103
Wed, Dec 30 @ Phoenix L 98-116
JANUARY
Sat, Jan 2 Toronto W 103-96
Wed, Jan 6 @ Miami W 112-106 OT
Fri, Jan 8 @ Atlanta L 85-93
Sun, Jan 10 @ Toronto W 114-107
Mon, Jan 11 Atlanta L 96-102
Wed, Jan 13 @ New Jersey W 111-87
Thu, Jan 14 Chicago L 83-96
Mon, Jan 18 Dallas L 90-99
Wed, Jan 20 @ Detroit L 86-92
Fri, Jan 22 Portland W 98-95 OT
Mon, Jan 25 LA Clippers W 95-89
Thu, Jan 28 @ Orlando L 94-96
Fri, Jan 29 @ Atlanta L 91-100
Sun, Jan 31 LA Lakers L 89-90

2x Toronto, 2XOT wins over Miami and Portland, NJN away and LAC at home. Woow :(

Not surprised if the celtics lose tonight against the wizards. You lose 3 in a row. You lose 2 games that were in the bag. You lose the night before against your rival from the west at home then have to fly out that night and have to play the next day in Washington against another young team. With the moral still down from the Lakers game it wouldn't surprise me to see them lose tonight.

Blown out once with essentially no KG and still a very good seed because of the phenomenal start KG provided us with. I ain't gonna panic yet.

The Celtics need to make a move to provide some depth and youth.

I think the Kings are an ideal trading partner. They have solid talent that would fit in great with the C's. A Martin/Nocioni package would be GREAT for you guys. You keep the shooter, you get someone who carry the offensive load, and you get a stellar bench SF to provide some hustle and intensity.

The Kings would love to shed the salary, and personally, I think the Maloofs still hate the Lakers enough to send the Celtics much better talent just in case there is a 2008 Finals rematch.

Last stretch of the year is pretty cake were they can gains some games. They are obviously taking their lumps. The schedule from March on is pretty favorable. Hopefully they play well when it counts the last 15-20 games.

Yes, the schedule is almost creme puff from March on. Watch the posters on this board
touting the "mighty Celtics" when all it will be is a stretch where the Celtics,
in their last 25 games, will only draw one of the top ten teams 4 times.
That's right, only 4 out of the last 25 games against Top 10 Teams.

Thanks for the heads up, it's not like any of us have actually been following the Celtics or anything. I'm certain we don't have about ten other panic threads at the moment on this board.

With the exception of the Chicago debacle we were in every game. Since KG's return we should have won every single game if not for some very, very fixable issues in the last 3 minutes of the game. It's ok. Let us deal with this slump right now rather than in April.

Toronto is only 5 games out, but they've played 2 more games then the Celtics.

My Feburary predictions are:
Toronto
facing: @IND, NJ, SAC, PHI, MEM, @NJ, WAS, POR, CLE, @OKC
Record: 9-1
becomes: 35-23

Boston
facing: @WAS, MIA, NJ, ORL, @NO, @SAC, @LAL, @POR, @DEN, NY, CLE, NJ
Record: 6-6
becomes: 35-22

You really think Toronto will go 9-1? Either way, it's in the future. We'll see.
