The One Laker Kobe Would Choose To Go To War With

Post#1 » by mang » Mon Feb 1, 2010 6:09 am

If Kobe had to choose one Laker to go to WAR with, who would he choose?
I ask this question because I came across this dude's blog, where he feels Andrew would be the one chosen.
http://epicmess.wordpress.com/2010/01/3 ... ng-lalbos/
He also mentions that Kobe's list of players he would consider is only 3 deep: Derek Fisher, Ron Artest, and Andrew Bynum.

I'm sorry, but as well as Drew played today, this is ridiculous. Although I do feel Fisher and Artest would be considered, Pau is easily the 2nd most skilled and accomplished Laker on the team. Along with that, he has proven himself over the past 2 and a half seasons which definitely eclipses Andrew's best performances.
Even so, I still get the feeling that Drew isn't mentally tough enough to come through like he did today on a consistent basis. What do yall think??

Phil Jackson. Kobe is the muscle, but PJ has all the brains someone needs to win a war.

Easy one D-Fish no doubt. When it comes down to whos out to kill on the court no doubt Fisher has been there done that. Kobe knows this and seen Fish do his thing, So Kobe goes with him. Artest in a NBA battle would be 2nd or third. Artest is like the Marines to Kobe's Army. You know they are crazy, but you know they will get the job done. At the end of the day youre amazed at their force but out side of the treanches youre not buddy buddy.

Ron. Although you'd have to be worried about friendly fire.

If I was going to put on a smoking jacket and sip fine port in a private, mahogany-walled library, then Pau would be my choice.

Fish, if I was going to lobby a government body.

Sasha, if I wanted some metrosexual hang-out time.

Jordan, if I wanted to feel like one of those idiots from Jersey Shore. (I know he's Jewish, and from California, but he reminds me of them for some reason.)

I always wonder what would have happened if Artest was around when Raja Bell pulled his crap in the playoffs in 2006.

Going to war in terms of basketball comes across as something requiring more than just skill. Going to war means grinding through tough situations where most would falter or turn back. It means showing the heart and determination to give that last bit of effort humanly possible to pull through. The only Laker I see Kobe going to war with in that sense is none other than D-Fish. I think we all know why

He should pick Ron. The dude can defend any position except may be big Cs and is one tough dude to handle on the court. Plus he would rather punch the other dude and end the game than lose.
