Yes, one of the downsides of the Mike Martz passing attack, the other being that he doesn't normally utilize his tight ends much. Still, the Bears will put up a lot of points and be fun to watch on offense. When was the last team we could say that??

Re: Martz Passing/Sacks Stats
As long a Cutler can stay upright, I look forward to seeing a real NFL offensive scheme being employed.
Hopefully Martz has learned from the inadequacies in his system and will make the proper adjustments to mix it up with running the ball, play-action and check-downs to the TEs, if nothing is available down field.
Just as stated by Charity Stripe, at least Martz should bring some excitement.

A plea for post scoring is a plausible Bulls plan, but plainly isn't a priority. In response to a post player's dismay about his lack of points in the paint, Paxson said.... "I'm not nearly as concerned about the offensive stuff as he is."

Re: Martz Passing/Sacks Stats
The problem here - beside keeping Cutler in one piece - is that bad things happen when he doesn't have time. Throws become forced and needles are attempted to be threaded. It wasn't until the OL gelled towards the very end of the year and Cutler had some time did you see the picks go down.
I'll take it for what it is, though - a one year fallback option. Martz could be our interim head coach before the 2010 season is over for that matter.

Turn down for what?

Ugh, this is pretty much the reason I didn't want Martz. Everytime I've watched him, the QB seems to take a lot of beating.
The other thing seems to the be extreme complexity of the passing game. JT O Sullivan started in 49ers because it seemed he had a leg up and knew what he was doing compared to the others(he was the Detriot backup before following Martz to San Fran)

Cutler is gonna get killed. I love how they invested so much in the guy and since then have tried to insure that she wont do well.
