Is J-Rich Available?

Post#1 » by TORapFan » Tue Feb 2, 2010 2:05 pm

Hey guys,

im a Raptor fan and i was wondering if Richardson is available. I think hed be a good short term option at SG for Toronto till Derozan develops. Were willing to go into tax too so is their any deal that gets him here? Derozan wouldnt be involved but would you take something with Calderon in it?

Calderon + Amir

for

Richardson + Amundson

? Or would you want pure expiring contracts for Richardson, if so we could involve the Lakers and send Morrison + Farmar your way. Maybe he isnt available for expiring contracts though, what would it take?

so youd be good with this then?

TOR Sends: Calderon + Amir + Wright
TOR Gets: Farmar + Richardson + Amundson

Suns Send: Richardson
Suns Get: Morrison + Amir + Wright

LAL Send: Morrison + Farmar
LAL Gets: Calderon

Jack/Farmar/Banks
Richardson/Belinelli
Hedo/Derozan/Weems
Bosh/Evans/O'Byrant
Bargnani/Amundson/Rasho

Nash/Dragic
Wright/Barbosa/Morrison
Hill/Dudley/Clarke
Amare/Johnson/Griffin
Frye/Lopez/Collins

Calderon/Fisher
Bryant/Brown/Sasha
Artest/Walton
Gasol/Odom
Bynum/Powell/DJ

Basically you get all expiring contracts for Richardson, Wright is a good replacement for him, hes a Dudley like player who recently is shooting well and is clutch. Does that work for you? You could have Farmar if you wanted but i see no PT for him in Phoenix unless Dragic goes.

If we get a package full of largely expirings and the contracts obviously match up, then HELL YEAH

He's more than available, he's yours for free if the CBA allowed it.

But NO to Calderon, he's probably the worst defensive PG in the game and he can't run an uptempo team.

But yeah, we're open to most deals that gets us expirings or young players for JRich.

Richardson is not available. He is a cornerstone of the Suns franchise. Only way the Suns trade him to the Raptors is if the Suns get Bargani, Bosh, or DeRozan.
Oh and the Suns are definitely not trading Amundson either.

If you mean that the Raptores have nothing to offer us, then I agree

Richardson has been available since the DUIs. Kerr would take any reasonable offer for him at the moment, but no one is interested.

jrich doesnt have the best shot selection but he still scores with decent efficiency and is one of the better boarding 2's in the league (which we badly need)

i wouldnt trade him for expirings

That is actually a decent point, but I think if we replaced JRich with either Goran or Dudley, we'd be better off. It seems like it would be an addition by subtraction move, more than can we get equal value for JRich.

If Ray Allen really is on the block, I'm all for sending J-rich and Barbosa packing just for the capspace alone.
