Kobe Bryant: Los Angeles Lakers All-Time Leading Scorer

Post#1 » by TylersLakers » Tue Feb 2, 2010 2:59 am

Congratulations #24: I'm biased because I never saw Magic and Kareem, but I think he's the greatest Laker to ever strap on a purple and gold jersey.

Since he broke the record in Memphis (dumb), let's let this thread be the official congratulations thread for Kobe "Bean" Bryant.

Congrats Kobe!

This franchise is so rich to have players like West, Baylor, Magic and Kobe all be a part of their history. Most teams would struggle to find one player like that.

congrats kobe. to me magic will always be the greatest laker but you are a close second my man... doesn't even seem like it's been 14 years since you came into the league...here's to a few more rings and more records...
Only on realgm is 27,000 points, 5 rings, 1 rs mvp and 2 finals mvp considered overrated!

Thing I like about Kobe is that he isn't satisfied with this milestone he wants to keep adding to his legacy and make himself a better player, congrats to Mamba best player in the league and will go down as one of the greatest if not the greatest of all time

He is the greatest off all time and greatest Laker. Jordan and Magic don't compare.

easy there fella, I amy agree that you may be able to say this at the end of Kobes career in 7+ years but right now thats a little premature.

Kobe likes the record but would trade it for a win. Kobe is all about winning. records are good in the summer

That is a HUGE accomplishment for both Kobe and the Lakers organization.

It has been challenging at times for BOTH sides. I hope the Lakers do the right thing, the unPackers thing and let Kobe start until he is 40 years old. I hope the Lakers win more championships and do not push Kobe out the door when he starts to decline like they did Shaq.

This team has a lot of potential. Just check out my sig that probably (hopefully doesnt) come accross as cocky as Kobe is/was.
Lakers are 22-3 in OT last 6 seasons:Kobe best OT closer!

Uhh, somebody must have pointed this out in another thread I'm sure, but if not, did anyone notice Kobe scored 44, Jerry's jersey # ? Pretty damn' cool, even in a loss.

I dont know if anyone heard espn radio this morning but the commentator spoke about how the lakers are so rich in talent. He said you know when a team is truely great when the bench is hall of fame caliber. Lakers all time line up would exclude either Kobe or Jerry west. It would also wouldnt include all of the great big men to play for the team. He compared us to the Yankees in the sense of all time depth which i thought was perfect.

I hope someone heard Jerry west comment on kobe last night on NBATV...he couldnt have said it better on how he sees kobe bryants talent in comparison to the rest of the leauges top stars.

^ it was the announcer Kevin Harlan.

He was saying that the Lakers, like the Yankees, have such rich depth of greatness and unparalleled history that an iconic legend like Jerry West or Joe DiMaggio might not even make the starting lineup of their club's all-time team.
