Lawrence Frank working with VC/Ryno in ORL

Post#1 » by Cigamodnalro » Tue Feb 2, 2010 6:22 pm

Former New Jersey Nets coach Lawrence Frank attended the shootaround and will be with the team this week as a guest of Van Gundy’s. Don’t read anything into that. Van Gundy was asked if they have talked about Carter or will talk about Carter, and Van Gundy said no.

Van Gundy's skirting around VC's offensive issues aside, this is probably a great move for the Magic. How was Vince's relationship with Frank? Did Nets fans credit Frank with reviving Vince's career after TO?

We basically credited Frank with 3rd quarter meltdowns.
Seriously though, this is exactly the type of role Frank should exceed at, as an assistant.

It's only a matter of time until Lawrence Frank replaces SVG, leads the Magic to a championship and Nets fans clamor to have Sir Frank back on the bench...

...Or not.

Seriously though, what did Frank do that made VC do so well even with the team he had around him?

LF: Play VC 40 min even if he's hurt
SVG: Okay

LOL @ SIC...Vince does need a little ego stroking here and there...he just needs minutes...

Its going to help...Vince while playing hurt still has yet to find his comfort zone...LF can help with that, give some suggestions all around while giving Vince more of the attention he might needs...as far as advice with his game, ect...these are the things that LF is good at...

btw, big time respect to SVG for bringing in Frank, he''s obviously willing to do anything to win/bring the best out of Vince...and this certainly wont hurt...

Lets say hypothetically that Frank had something to do with VC playing better, wouldnt you be worried about this?

This is exactly why I spent years criticizing this guy. You have been traded to a team that made it to the Finals a year ago. You are playing with a FREAKEN ALL STAR CENTER. You have a very good supporting cast. You dont have to worry about carrying a team. You got out of what was clearly a rebuilding of a team. You are suppose to be part of the second tier of Super Stars in the NBA.

You mean to tell me YOU NEED LAWRENCE F"N OPIE FRANK to MOTIVATE YOU TO PLAY BETTER!!!!!!!! COME ON!!!!!!!

Lawrence Frank is needed to advise SVG that he is allowed to run more plays than just **** three-point attempts and that Vince should have the ball in his hands MORE often so that he can create for others because not only is he the best playmaker on that team but Jameer Nelson isn't getting it done.

they came back vs the Celtics and won...they might not have the greatest chemistry nor do they have everything figured out yet...but when that team is on and hitting the outside shot, they're very hard to beat...
