LBJ is pushing for Jamison, should Kobe push for Hinrich?

If LBJ is pushing for Jamison I think Kobe should push for Hinrich. I want us to have the upper hand in every series we go into. If the Cavs get Jamison they will be more complete than ever. They will have a guy that can step out and knock down jumpers. Jamison is the perfet fit between James and O'Neal. The reason I want Hinrich is because he's the right player to play the point guard for us, his size, defence and shooting are great and will only make us better. On top of all of that he can play Point Guard, Shooting Guard, and Small Forward, having Hinrich out on the arc with Bryant and Artest and h either of the two of Bynum, Odom, or Gasol behind them the Lakers would be unstopable.

Kobe should start sharing the ball before he asks for anymore people to join the Lakers

well it seems he shares it enough to have his team in second place in the entire league.
Only on realgm is 27,000 points, 5 rings, 1 rs mvp and 2 finals mvp considered overrated!

I think what Tommy Trojan is insinuating is that the Lakers could be that much better if Kobe were more of a willing passer in their already gifted offense.

agreed...Kobe he's open

It's true. Their offense is gifted.

I think Dr. Buss is waiting to see what moves Cleveland/Boston are making before he decides to really push and pull for a trade. Sadly as much as I hate to see the Lakers lose games to teams like Memphis and barely sliding by Boston I think it only strengthens the need for a PG or another player to solidify our lineup.

Boy, that would really suck. Cleveland already has advantages over us and that would only strengthen them. If they pulled the trigger on that, I'd be looking to a) fix our FC issues by trading Gasol for Bosh and b) doing whatever we can to get Hinrich.

Anyone know what pieces the Cavs would use to make this trade?

Ilgauskas, who can be bought out and return to the Cavs for the post-season. The article also suggests that the Wizards would want J.J. Hickson. Either way, it's an improvement for the Cavs.

He's signed through the 2011/12 season.

I've always loved Hinrich game but after seeing him play in the Bulls and Celtics series last season I've loved it even more seeing him play defence on Paul Pierce in such a mannor.
SF:Artest/Walton
PF:Gasol/Odom/Powell
C:Bynum/Mbenga
SG:Bryant/Brown
PG:Hinrich/Fisher/Farmar
Morrion, Vujacic, and some picks for Hinrich

Absolutely. Bosh is a much better fit next to Bynum because he can play farther away from the basket and allow Bynum to operate in the post. He's also a much better defender. The only advantage Gasol has over Bosh is his passing.
On the other hand, and even better trade might be Bynum for Bosh. Pau works quite well for us at center as he showed last season, and I think he's a better defender than Bynum due to his instincts and experience. The only reason to favor Bynum is age, really. I don't think the organization would consider it though since Jim is the one who brought Bynum in.
So, I would trade either Bynum or Gasol for Bosh.

On the other hand, Shaq will be retiring soon and Igs isn't getting any younger, so perhaps it's best to leave our bigs in tact and hope they figure out how to play together. The Cavs are really the only team that concerns me but they are set up to win it this year only. It would be great if Pau worked on his face up game though since that's what we need him to do if he's going to play PF next to Bynum.

I read an article the other day that said Kobe has been pushing the FO to upgrade the Lakers backcourt.

Kobe has learned to trust Mitch after the Gasol deal.
Let me say this about LeBron and the Cavs organization in general.
The cavs have had the potential to create a multi championship team but they keep MESSING it up by going after old vets/former all-stars instead of doing things right. Break the cycle Cavs; get LeBron someone in his prime that has more than 5 years left to run with in the long term.

Jamison is 32 or 33. What year do a lot of PFs fall off???
Its a short term fix but LeBron is still a young player. Why not give up a little more and build this team the right way. LeBron if you want a 32 year old PF, it WILL help you this year, it wont help you 3 or 4 years from now.
LeBron if you want a 27 year old PF it will help you for most of your career. You dig? What was the age difference between Jordan/Pippen? You dig?

You think? Assuming they don't get Ilgauskas back, they have no depth behind Shaq (besides Verejao) and an undersized (albeit talented) player at the 4. More firepower, less defense, less depth. I'm not sure if I'd take this if I were Cleveland. If Jamison were 6-10 instead of 6-8, then perhaps. But otherwise I'd say no.
